International Women's Month is here and yes we are celebrating, but it's also difficult when we are watching a sovereign nation being invaded in real time. It's also the 2 year anniversary of the world shutting down and for some of us, reliving that has been more difficult than we anticipated.

So we hope you acknowledge where you are, give yourself some grace, and make the most of the first few days of spring! And as usual, we hope this newsletter provides you a bit of a break and perhaps brings a smile to your face

Tourism Calgary x SOS Web.AR at a LIVE EVENT! Tourism Calgary has partnered with SOS Web.AR to bring Augmented Reality to their booth at the Canadian Meetings + Events Expo 2021, taking place October 19 & 20 at the Toronto Metro Convention Centre. A total of six web augmented reality experiences welcome CMEExpo attendees - with the main anchor point being a 20' by 8' wall mural that comes to life using augmented reality around the theme, "Calgary Is Your Canvas," and a massive number of reasons to bring events to Calgary. In addition to the wall mural, guests will also be taken on AR 360º tours around the city to help planners visualize points of interest for their meetings and events, on the spot. The entire booth is meant to be interactive, and in our opinion is so forward thinking that it is going to change how AR is going to be used at live events! 🏃‍♀️🏃🏽RBC Race For The Kids & SOS Web.AR ⚡️📲 With the RBC Race For The Kids going virtual for a second year, both RBC and The Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation wanted a unique and interactive way to drive registrations, while also providing very important information about the race and the cause. Working very closely with their teams (including @haleydanski, a Team Canada representative and RBC Olympian!), we put together an experience that incorporates all of their objectives into one by simply scanning a QR code. It will be used in various channels - from online marketing to physical banners set up at banks and TV screens at the Alberta Children's Hospital.
