Introducing our amazing nanny, Katya! She’ll be leading the fun in the children’s area from 9 AM to 6 PM at our festival, ensuring your little ones are entertained and well cared for while you enjoy the event. With plenty of experience under her belt, Katya offers her babysitting services at an affordable rate of just $10 for 1.5 hours per child.

Katya has spent over 60 hours this summer working with kids at a tennis camp and another 10 hours during the winter at a volleyball camp. She’s also gained invaluable experience by caring for her younger brother and his friends daily.

After the festival, Katya is happy to take on clients in the Vaughan/Woodbridge area, though she’s also willing to travel to nearby locations like Newmarket, Aurora, and King City. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to have your kids in the care of someone who truly loves what she does!

It’s time to think about the list of things you need to bring with you.

What should you bring?

✔️ Cash (to buy food 🥘 from vendors)

✔️ Sleeping pad (or yoga mat, also useful to sit on for the meditation/ breath workshops 🧘🏻‍♀️)
✔️ Tarp for under your tent (for those planning to camp ⛺️ near the lake)
✔️ Water bottle (there are drinking water taps)
✔️ Flashlight 🔦
✔️ Power bank for phone charging
✔️ Sunglasses 🕶️
✔️ Toothbrushes, toothpaste
✔️ Trash bags (for those bringing their own food, you’ll need to take your trash back with you)

Clothing:

✳️ Musical instruments are optional (no need to bring a guitar 🎸, one will be available in the loud field for singing around the campfire)

• Alcohol in GLASS bottles

Glass is prohibited at the festival. If you want to bring something like wine in a glass bottle, just transfer it to a plastic bottle beforehand for safety reasons.

It’s not allowed to walk around the festival grounds with glass in hand 🚫.

Kseniya Tsoy .art is a Toronto-based community-engaged artist. In the community, she is probably best known for her vibrant collaborative murals, but she can be also often found leading workshops and other creative projects that aim at bringing people together through art.

At Dobroslet 2024 Kseniya will lead

1) Shape Art workshop for children from 0 to 6 where we will use colour and shapes to illustrate with … paper! All skill levels are welcome to this fun-filled workshop :)

2) Children 7 and above are welcome to join an originami station - we again will use paper to create magical creatures and design our very own public art installation ❤️

🎭 Meet Denis Lapega: Actor, Director, and Acting Teacher

With a wealth of experience in Moscow theaters such as «M.O.S.T», Center for Dramaturgy and Directing, and «Taganka Theatre», I have had the privilege of playing numerous lead roles, including Mozart in A.S. Pushkin’s «Little Tragedies,» Chlestakov in N.V. Gogol’s «The Government Inspector,» and Laertes in Shakespeare’s «Hamlet.»

I have also taught Commedia Dell’Arte at the Shchepkinskoye Theatre Institute and acting at the Dzerzhinsky Institute, conducting workshops across various creative studios in Moscow. As a regular participant and awardee of national theater festivals, my journey continues in Toronto, where I now teach acting at the Star School of Music.

🎨 Welcome to the Circle of Art Workshop! 🎨

🎨 Meet Polina Rad from Rad Caricatures! 🎨

Join us at the Dobroslet Festival for a special workshop with Polina Rad, a talented caricature artist with 10 years of experience capturing moments and personalities on paper.

About Me:
I have been doing caricatures for 10 years, drawing people from all walks of life and capturing moments and personalities on paper. It is always a joy to see people take themselves less seriously, have a laugh, and find out how they might look through the lens of an artist’s eyes.

Every artist has their own unique style. I have developed a warm and friendly style, but I also like to push my own boundaries for greater effect when inspiration strikes.

I have always been drawing as a child and drew everyone in my class for the yearbook. My passion led me to study animation and I have worked on many animated TV shows since then. I love learning about people and telling stories through art. I hope that my drawings inspire connection, laughter, and joie de vivre.

Block printing is the process of carving a stamp out of linoleum, wood, foam, rubber, or even potatoes and transferring that image onto paper, textiles, and more. This type of printing can be easily repeated to create patterns with vibrant and bold results.
• Carving Techniques: Experience the joy of carving your own design into a potato (suitable for adults). Alternatively, you can use our precut stamps and skip straight to the painting process.

Merey Ismailova, who has been leading dance classes for adults and children at Dobroslet for several years, has created a new dance theatre performance about love, which will be held on June 22 and 23. Last year, I attended one of Merey’s theatre performances and was truly amazed. From the director of *Master and Margarita* and *One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest*! Meet Anastheia Band, who will perform at the Dobroslet Festival on Friday, August 30th at 8 PM. The band will play a mix of original songs by the singer/songwriter Anastheia and popular covers of Zemfira, Monetochka, The Hardkiss, and more. Their sound can be described as dance-rock, so be prepared to move, groove, and head-bang a little. Formed in 2023, Anastheia Band is made up of talented musicians from different cities across North America who unite for special shows like the one at Dobroslet. In just over a year, they’ve performed at five festivals, rocking the stage at Pereplyot, Echo, and Zhara. You might be wondering, how do these guys rehearse while being in totally different cities? Well, they do it remotely. A little project management, a lot of trust and professionalism, and a sprinkle of pixie dust, and there you have it. The result is always a fiery show and a ton of fun! At the forefront of the band is Anastheia (Nastia Kedrova), who some of you may recognize from past Dobroslet festivals, performances with Just Band, Masked Bark, and several other musical projects in Canada and the US. The lead guitarist is none other than Konstantin Necrasov (Volkodrom, Half Past Four), the boss of bass is Igor “Gorynich” Minustin, and the human drum machine is Vitaly Ablaev.
