🎻 Introducing Polky! 🎻
We’re thrilled to announce that Polky band will be performing at the Dobroslet Festival this year! Join us on Saturday at 7 PM for an exhilarating musical performance that blends traditional Slavic folk with a modern twist.
Polky, led by the powerhouse vocalist Ewelina Ferenc, is renowned for their energetic performances and unique sound. This multi-talented group of immigrant female musicians from Toronto brings Eastern European-style traditional vocals and unusual instruments to the stage.
Here’s a bit more about the band:
▪️Ewelina Ferenc: Lead singer and winner of the Traditional Singer of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards (2022)
▪️Marta Solek: Suka virtuoso. And yes, although “suka” means a “bitch,” it’s actually an ancient Polish instrument! No bad words here, just amazing music!
▪️Ekaterina: A great singer and folk lover who adds even more depth and passion to their performances.
Their music fearlessly blends Polish traditional music with global sounds and rhythms
Expect an unforgettable experience as Polky introduces you to the vibrant world of Polish culture through their infectious charm and captivating performances. This is a celebration of cultural diversity and the joy of life, all through the power of music!
Don’t miss this chance to be a part of Polky’s musical journey at the Dobroslet Festival.

Merey Ismailova, who has been leading dance classes for adults and children at Dobroslet for several years, has created a new dance theatre performance about love, which will be held on June 22 and 23. Last year, I attended one of Merey’s theatre performances and was truly amazed.
From the director of *Master and Margarita* and *One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest*! We invite adults and children to the dance performance «LOVE: Tales for the Young and the Young at Heart» on June 22 and 23, 2024, in Toronto.

Meet Anastheia Band, who will perform at the Dobroslet Festival on Friday, August 30th at 8 PM.
The band will play a mix of original songs by the singer/songwriter Anastheia and popular covers of Zemfira, Monetochka, The Hardkiss, and more. Their sound can be described as dance-rock, so be prepared to move, groove, and head-bang a little.
Formed in 2023, Anastheia Band is made up of talented musicians from different cities across North America who unite for special shows like the one at Dobroslet. In just over a year, they’ve performed at five festivals, rocking the stage at Pereplyot, Echo, and Zhara.
You might be wondering, how do these guys rehearse while being in totally different cities? Well, they do it remotely. A little project management, a lot of trust and professionalism, and a sprinkle of pixie dust, and there you have it. The result is always a fiery show and a ton of fun!
At the forefront of the band is Anastheia (Nastia Kedrova), who some of you may recognize from past Dobroslet festivals, performances with Just Band, Masked Bark, and several other musical projects in Canada and the US.
The lead guitarist is none other than Konstantin Necrasov (Volkodrom, Half Past Four), the boss of bass is Igor “Gorynich” Minustin, and the human drum machine is Vitaly Ablaev.
Anastheia Band is a story intertwined through cities and hearts. We invite you to become part of this musical journey!
In the meantime, stay up to date with the latest and greatest from the band via Facebook and Instagram @anastheia
