POSITION STATUS: Permanent Part Time
START DATE: ASAP
POSITIONS: 1
HOURS OF WORK: 5-10 hours per week and approx 20 hours during
the wedding season (May-October)
RATE OF PAY: $21/hour to start with a bonus after the summer
wedding season
LOCATION: Sea to Sky Corridor
CLOSING DATE: June 4, 2021 at 12:00 pm

EDUCATION + WORK EXPERIENCE

Customer Service in Hospitality Industry
Sales & Marketing Experience (recommended)
1+ Years Post Secondary Education
Event Planning/Coordinating Experience (recommended)

SKILLS

Strong communication, and delegating
Builds and maintains customer relationships
Strong attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to focus under pressure
Ability to work effectively within a team environment
Project a professional demeanor as well as using tact when dealing with others
Proficiency (intermediate level) in computer software including Excel, Microsoft Word, email, video conferencing
A desire to learn and grow within the company
Strong social media skills, mainly Instagram and Facenook
Excellent professional writing skills

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Able to lift 50 lbs
Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
Own computer/Internet access
Access to a vehicle
Shifts may vary from weekdays to weekends. Flexibility is recommended
Able to work until late into the evening or arrive earlyin the morning for take down
Ability to learn/use a wedding planning computer software

JOB DUTIES

Responding to inquiries
Writing proposals, invoices, letters of agreements and sending out welcome packages
Keeping marketing current (social media, website, information documents)
Meeting with clients at consultations or during the wedding planning process
Planning and ex*****on of rehearsals and weddings

When I have a vision that I am trying to communicate to my team or clients, it can be difficult to communicate it through words, and while design and aesthetics are my strengths, drawing is not. Instead, I create mock-up images of the spaces, textures and pieces I am planning to ensure the details are taken care of. I can do these for venue decor right down to place settings. ⁠⁠
