Friday, Dakota has glitter tattoos at our booth inside the market, then on Saturday and Sunday, Natalie is facepainting and doing glitter tattoos outside as part of the Family Fun Fair at . This was such a fun event last year. This year, we will be hanging out close to our friends from . We are donating $1 from each of our spider, snake, turtle, frog and gecko tattoos to the centre.

We also sell bling at our Granary Road booth. I make them on medical grade tape. You can either purchase to take home, or I’ll apply it with some festival glitter at the booth! Only $4, perfect for stocking stuffers. Preston picked a really cool spider design, and pink pearls for her sister. We also have tiny bling clusters, free with paid face painting.

Did you know that used to be called Little New York back in the oil boom days of the 1930s? There was also a Little Chicago (hence the Twin Cities saloon in Longview). Every year they have a parade and a weekend of celebrations. I’ll be in the kids area, painting faces with my apprentice Dakota on Saturday 12–3pm. On Sunday, I’m taking a day off with family and Dakota will be doing glitter tattoos and selling our cute ponytails and paper garlands at

We are working hard on getting set up for the first Stick Around Town Stampede held here at The Feed Lot and The Stop Coffee House and Gathering Place - Live At The Stop

There is a ton planned and we're posting our poster again for you to review the various activities planned.

We just wanted to ANNOUNCE that the Black Diamond Bandstand has been chosen to host Bill Hearne on Saturday night. He will be opening for Solomon Woodland.

Bill is here visiting from New Mexico. He was a good friend of Ian Tyson's and played with him for many years.

Jerry Jeff Walker
Michael Martin Murphy

Bill plans to drop by for our Pancake Breakfast on Saturday morning and maybe jump in with our duo Rob Hollis and Nathan Tinkham.

Then Saturday night from 7pm to 8pm - Bill will be doing an opening set for Solomon Woodland. This will prove to be an honour for Solomon. Solomon will then be playing his set from 8pm to 9:30pm with the potential of Bill sitting in as well.

This will prove to be a magical evening at The Black Diamond Bandstand - This is why you Stick Around Town.

We are excited and honoured to have both Bill and Solomon on The Black Diamond Bandstand and we hope you will join us in this very rare opportunity.

One of the great things about working at a market, is the amazing food! Lunch of , refried beans and rice from . They’re right behind my booth at and absolutely Delicious 😋 ♥️♥️♥️ They also have to-go meals (I highly recommend the enchiladas!).

I’ve been really busy painting these past few weekends at , so today (after cleaning the house, laundry and cooking lamb shanks for my sons who popped by for a visit..),I’m making some fancy bling to restock for the face paint designs. Not easy while watching subtitled tv!
