Last weekend I set up an Under the Sea themed party. We set up 3 main decor areas.

First you see the food table area complete with an eco-friendly garland and milestone photo banner.

Then is the front door photo backdrop using the gold hoop. It has 3 jellyfish hanging in the middle too.

And finally in their dining room we did a fabric backdrop with bubbles and fish. Oh and jellyfish hanging in their dining room alcoves.

You don’t need decor everywhere. You just a few key pieces to make your theme come to life.

I love how this client used items from my decor set to create their own first birthday shoot. The hoop on the ground is one hoop from a set up 3 that usually get hung on the wall but I love how it’s been used here. Beside her you’ll see my gold ‘ONE’ and you can see the edge of the Cinderella carriage on the left.

While staged photos before a party aren’t for everyone, they are a great way to ensure you get a few birthday themed photos before guests arrive. Once the party starts, you will be busy hosting, chatting and managing kids so photos often get forgotten.

Have you ever had great intentions of taking photos at a celebration and then didn’t because things got too busy and chaotic? It happens to us all. But taking a few before anyone arrives is a great way to at least get a few in.

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of helping celebrate their 5th birthday week with some eco-friendly decor.

I love how versatile the pillars in the second photo are. Planted wanted to have decorations outside when they were open. The pillars can be moved in and out depending on the weather.

I love working with other Hamilton businesses! If you haven’t yet been to Planted you need to check it out! Their falafel bowl and the nachos are my favourite! Oh and of course the Apple fritter!

Rainbows and bright colours fit the bill for me this January with our incredibly dreary days we’ve been having.

The Pom-Pom rainbow is my biggest piece so far at 5ft long. Prop it up on a table with your decor display or even on the floor for photos of your littles. The rainbow plus banner rents for $55.

The Pom- Pom numbers have been a huge hit since I introduced them a few months ago. They are about 3 feet tall by 1.75 feet wide so make a great statement! They can be done in any colour combination and can either be delivered or picked up as they come ready assembled.

Tag someone who has a little one with a birthday before the end of the year. I’m going to be running a contest later in November that you won’t want to miss!

This past weekend a second birthday was celebrated with my jungle theme and these photos were shared with me of their setup :)

I love how she used the giant 2 as a backdrop to a fun photo booth too!

Check out this new way to have eco-friendly garlands at your next party. These are freestanding garlands made on black stands and are easily moved around making them versatile for any party. Start with them on your front porch to welcome guests and then move them to the party room for photos. Not sure if it’s going to rain? Keep them inside until you make that final call.

These pillars are about 5 feet tall and can be done in any colour combination. Add in a giant Pom-Pom number too!

This event was from 5th birthday party. They had the garland pillars on their front steps with a giant ‘5’ at the top of the stairs.

Just another option to keep your celebrations low waste, using items that are reusable will be used any many more parties rather than tossed in the trash.

These are the kind of moments that make me love what I do. Photos and memories of joy, laughter and celebration! And while my decor doesn’t create those memories - it’s often a reminder to capture them.

As you can see, an eco-friendly garland creates a great backdrop for family photos. Thank you for sharing this memory from Levi’s 2nd birthday party!

Two cute! Here’s a little one with my newest product - giant reusable number rentals. They have hooks on the back to hang but here it is on the ground to show how large they are compared to this little guy! They are a great alternative to foil balloons!

They can be decorated in many colour combinations to fit your theme.

It’s here! You can now rent giant fabric numbers to replace the gold foil number balloons!

Just like my garlands they can be customized for a number of different colour combinations and any number or number combo is possible! They can get hung up with the little hooks on the back.

A client shared how they set up the “You are my Sunshine” decor for their child’s first birthday. I love seeing how they use the different pieces as sometimes they are different than I had imagined but work just as well!

I love how they used the sun cutout around the bottom of the vase and the high chair banner and a banner on the window. Also the teddy bear cake is just too cute!!

With my 2qeco-friendly garlands being customizable to fit anywhere and any size, we can chat about what you are using it for and how it should look.

This one is smaller and lower than I normally make but it’s perfect for over a high chair. If it’s for photos at a baby shower, it’s longer and higher for group shots.

I do what I do because of smiles like these. I love celebrating friend’s and family’s milestones and triumphs. Celebrations provide an escape from reality or an alternate one for a little while and can really fill your cup back up.

And adding a little decor to that event - it doesn’t have to be anything fancy - but it makes it special and different than just a normal dinner.

I got to celebrate my good friend Stephanie on the weekend as she prepares to have her first baby! So many laughs and cheers were had 🥰

The jungle theme now has a little update should you have a little one turning two. The “wild one” banner works great for all ages as well as first birthdays but I had a special request to make a “Two Wild” banner which can now be swapped out for the wild one banner if you’d like. Just ask when ordering!

Baseball season has started and is in full swing. Blue Jays have won 4 and lost 2 - it could be shaping up for a great season!

The baseball theme is a fun one for backyard parties. Think popcorn snacks and hot dogs with an incredible topping bar 😋

DIY paper trees for your holiday decor

These paper trees are so easy to make and will add a festive element to your Christmas centrepiece or buffet table - make them from leftover wrapping paper or cardstock. I've used these as name cards too - cut out little flags and write your guests' names on them, stick them to the top of each tree and place them at each plate.

How to make your house smell amazing over the holidays!

Instead of using an artificial air freshener, try this natural way to make your house smell amazing over the holidays. Add orange peels, pine needles, cinnamon sticks, cloves and any leftover herbs you have (rosemary is my favourite) to a small pot of boiling water and let the scents infuse your home with the smell of Christmas!
