Guest experience is becoming one of the most important aspects of wedding planning for a lot of couples and I agree that guest experience should be top of mind when planning out your wedding day.

I always say that at the end of the day your guests only really remember how they felt, whether they had fun, and whether the food and entertainment were any good. The rest is just the cherry on top 🍒

🎵 You still have everyone's full attention at the start of the reception
🎵 It allows for a more intimate moment
🎵 It gives you the opportunity to enjoy the rest of the evening without the pressure of the first dance hanging over you, especially if you are feeling nervous

A handfasting ceremony is a wedding ritual where a couple's hands are tied together with a ribbon or cord to symbolize their commitment to each other. The ceremony is said to have Celtic origins and is thought to be the origin of the phrase "tying the knot."

We originally had two ribbons of the same colour prepared for Sarah and Rob's hand fasting ceremony, but one of the ribbons made an escape between arriving at the venue and starting the ceremony. So what did we do? We used the ribbon from one of the bouquets. It worked out beautifully and as it turns out they liked having the two different coloured ribbons.

Sometimes we just need to go with the flow and sometimes it turns out better than planned.

She helped us schedule meetings to get organized for our wedding day, she asked all the right questions about every little detail, she connected with all of our vendors, she set up and took down our decor, and skillfully managed our particularly large and rowdy wedding party. We made some last minute changes on the day that she managed perfectly.

Of all the things we spent money on for our wedding, Chantal’s services were easily the most valuable. On top of that she is such a nice person who is clearly passionate about her work.

About Chantal-Christine

Welcome to CC Weddings and Events!

If you are reading this you are considering working with me on one of the most significant days of your life. Thank you! I am honoured that you are thinking of hiring me. Working with someone you trust and you can collaborate with is really important, so here is an opportunity to get to know me before you take the next step in planning your wedding.

I have been working in events for over ten years. These have ranged from academic events and conferences, to weddings and festivals. I have a BAH and MA in art history from Queen’s University and completed a diploma in event management certified by the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2016 while living in the UK.

During my time in the UK I had the amazing opportunity to work on Pride in London, particularly as a liaison between Prides throughout the UK and towards creating an accessible Pride for all. In 2016 we achieved Silver Certification at our first attempt with Attitude is Everything.
