I first met sound artist Chloe Alexandra Thompson a few years back when we shared a bill at an experimental music show in Portland. At the time, she was based in Vancouver and I was in New York, and later that year we coincidentally switched places when I relocated to Canada and she moved to Brooklyn.
I spoke with her recently for Winnipeg's Public Parking and we took a deep dive into her fascinating sonic practice, which integrates spatial sound and creative coding as well as collaborations for theatre, dance, and film:
