Meet your chef !

I’d like to finally introduce myself,

Born in Carbonara, Bari, Italy.

Moved to Vancouver at the age of 7.

I started cooking at a young age with my Nonna in the kitchen , food was everything.

She taught me some of the best techniques and flavour profiles that no school or other chefs could, that meant cooking from the heart.

I started my career at the age of 19 working in commissary kitchens and knew right away that it’s where I belonged .

I worked hard and years later found myself landing positions such as banquet chef for the metropolitan hotel , Sous chef for hawksworth and finally Executive chef for the shangri la Vancouver.

Finally brings us to the now . Taking it back to the basics

Owning Ila’s catering has allowed me to cook from the heart and bringing back everything my Nonna taught me and share that with all of you .

As I came full circle .
I’d like to thank my family, fiancé and everyone who has supported me along my journey and believed in me.
