Meet Jenna! 🥂 You've probably seen this lovely face at one of your weddings or events. Jenna is one of the planners here at Seamless Event Management. She covers a lot of our Edmonton events and we'd like to formally introduce her!

Jenna has always had a passion for event planning and design. She loves how every event is unique and full of personality! Originally from Canmore, Jenna completed her BSc in Kinesiology at the Univeristy of Victoria. She loves to dance, bake, spend time with friends and family, and scout out the best treat stops in every city she goes to.

She loves keeping up with the latest trends and creating relatable content for everyone to enjoy. Hayley is currently wrapping up her last couple months in event planning and hospitality at her local college and is excited to share all her creativity with you!

We are dipping our toes early into wedding season this year with several February weddings on the calendar. Many people shy away from winter weddings mainly because they have only attended summer ones. Luckily there are amazing florists in the city who can add just the right amount of flowers and greenery to bring a touch of summer into the venue.

Why you need a wedding ceremony rehersal.

The rehersal is a run through of the ceremony, usually organized the day before. The main goal is to make sure that everyone knows what to do during the ceremony.

• Who appears first at the ceremony, who is next

• Who walks the bride down the aisle and when

• Who holds the rings and at what moment gives them to the couple

• If you have a flower girl, when and at what speed she walks down the aisle

• Where everyone takes their place. Who is on the left and who is on the right

• What you are saying to each other and when

Depending on the concept of your ceremony, there may be many more details.

You can do the rehersal yourself or with the help of your wedding planner. Keep in mind, if you are having a small wedding, you can have it at your hotel instead of your wedding venue.

How long will it take?

It usually takes between 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Never, I repeat, NEVER wear brand new shoes on your wedding day without breaking them in first - trust me! 👠👞

Yes, you should wear the new shoes, whether they be Oxfords, flats, vans, sneakers or stilettos, but, if you can find 30 minutes each day, about 2 weeks before your wedding day to walk around in them first and break them in your feet will be so much happier.

If you are going the Oxford or Derby shoe route make sure to test them out on hard wood and tile. The soles are super slippery and you can also sand the bottoms so you don't wipe out walking into your reception.

Why should you hire a planner for your wedding?

•We know the best vendors in the industry and we have the contacts to easily book your meetings, consults and showings. This will save you time and energy with research, sending emails, filling out inquiry forms, etc.
