Artist Biography
After several years of training and performing bachata and kizomba, Ab Kizz found his true passion, Urbankiz. He fell in love with it at first sight. His dedication and passion for the dance led him to seek out and learn from renowned artists from all over the world in order to hone his skills.
Since then, Ab Kizz has participated in several international competitions, earning the title of the Overall Champion of the 2018 North America Kizomba Olympiads, where he secured 1st place in Urbankiz, 1st place in Sensualkiz, and 2nd place in Tarraxa.
Ab Kizz regularly shares his love and knowledge of UrbanKiz, SensualKiz, and Tarraxa throughout North America at various festivals and in his current home of Vancouver. His pedagogy is rooted in connection, technique, and musicality, with the goal of helping others reach their potential as exceptional dancers. With years of experience, Ab Kizz provides positive, technique focused learning environments for his students to develop as dancers and have fun while doing it.
