We hope you enjoyed the irresistible flavours of our Authentic BC CrabBoil and had an amazing time taking in all the summertime festivities! It was an honour to present over 1300 BC CrabBoil buckets to our community and welcome so many to the Festival.

1% of all BC CrabBoil Buckets is going directly towards the Vic West Community Center & Reciprocity Trusts. Your support helped double our contributions to the Vic West Community Centre Reciprocity Trusts!!

This event celebrated community spirited and cultural connections as well as shared the generational family tradition of a summertime CrabBoil.

🤝 making our land acknowledgment a little more meaningful. Reciprocity is about creating a lasting relationship between our communities as well as the land and sea we play and work on.

🌳 A non-profit here to promote, facilitate, support and undertake any activity that will enhance the quality of life in the Victoria West community.

Oakes is a new independent rock band from here in Vic West, built from former bands Weak Patrol, The Colts and Kennedy.

As well as writing his own music, Nic adores learning and performing covers while giving them his own unique spin. His love of music spans genres and decades, making his performances eclectic and enjoyable for any audience.

Known for their energetic stage presence, Surprise Left Band will keep you moving and singing along. Don’t miss out on this electrifying performance that will leave you wanting more!

4:00 pm 🎵 Matthew Franke
Matt Franke has performed regular live sets since 2010, when he began honing his skills in Whistler, BC. He grew up listening to everything from the soulful sounds of the Delta Blues to heavier rock anthems and has spent the last decade experimenting with different genres, building his setlist, and orchestrating acoustic sets for various events. Matt enjoys putting a fresh take on popular standbys, his favourite deep cuts, and crowd-pleasers.

2024 BC Crab Boil & CrabFest

🦀 The Feast:
Simmering pots of irresistible BC Dungeness crab, mussels, shrimp, corn, and potatoes, will be served in overflowing personal-sized buckets at Banfield Park in Victoria West, B.C. Canada on July 13, 2024 from 12:00 Noon to 7:00pm, with three Crab Boil Sessions Noon - 2PM, 2 - 4PM and 4 - 7PM.

According to event director and fishing family, Heather MacLeod “ We are thrilled to welcome Festival goers to this year's exciting event and urge attendees to purchase your Authentic BC Crab Boil Bucket in advance. Day of purchases are available only while supplies last".

This year’s event supports two vital local organizations in Victoria. Partnering with the Vic West Community Center & Reciprocity Trusts, celebrating community spirit and cultural connections, as well as sharing our generational family legacy and tradition of an authentic summertime crab boil.

🎉The Fest:
In addition to the ticketed crab boil feast, attendees will discover a celebratory festive summer atmosphere that includes community organizations, live entertainment, a kid zone and an educational marketplace with organizations such as the B.C. Crab Fisherman Association, Surfrider Foundation, The Gorge Waterway Action Society.

This fully licensed event will feature sales of Driftwood Brewery, Vic Cider, Prohibition Vineyard and Straight and Narrow and other non-alcoholic drinks.

‘s Executive Chef Anna Hunt
oversees all of their food programs - brilliant fish & chips, the best seafood chowder ever, all prepared meals in the freezer section, catering AND events.

If it’s cooked - Anna is making sure it’s delicious. You may hear her say “I just want to make beautiful food for beautiful people”.

She formerly held the position of Chef at both Paprika and Stage in Victoria before opening her own catering company. After doing a run with her own catering company, she landed at FAS taking their food program to the next level!

All of her cooking is from scratch with fresh, local and in-season ingredients. Taste her custom blend of crab boil spice we use at CrabFest 🦀

Born and raised by the ocean she has a deep love of quality ingredients and seafood.
