DJ Trixx is a seasoned veteran of the turntables with over two decades of experience under his belt. His love of music spans a wide range of genres, including electronic, dance, house, hip-hop, and R&B. He is known for his open-format style and turntablist skills that keep the crowd engaged and dancing all night long. His passion for music was instilled at an early age when he was taught by some o
f the industry's best, including DJ Gary O and the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff from Philadelphia. DJ Trixx has competed and placed in the 2006 and 2007 DMC Canada DJ competitions, which solidified his position as one of Canada's top DJs. While in high school, DJ Trixx ran and DJ'd large-scale teen dances, where he honed his skills and developed a loyal following and paved the way for him to secure residencies at some of Ontario's hottest nightspots, including the Boom Boom Room, Club O, St. DJ Trixx then expanded his reach to Western Canada, where he held residencies at the Aurora Nightclub and Hoodoo Lounge in Banff, Outabounds Nightclub in Revelstoke, Sneaky's in Elkford BC, The Cambie Pub, Malone's Lounge, and Relish Pub in Vancouver, various clubs and out of Calgary, Alberta. His talent and reputation have also earned him gigs at various corporate and private events. His talent is on the world stage, where he DJ'd at the 2010 World Cup Ski event in Lake Louis Banff. DJ Trixx has also opened up for some of the biggest names in the industry, including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Skratch Bastid, Team Canada DJs, and more. DJ Trixx is also a graduate of the Art Institute of Vancouver for Professional Recording Arts. This education has allowed him to create remixes and productions, which he shares with his fans through several years of recorded mixtapes and tracks on Mixcloud and SoundCloud. Currently residing in Squamish, BC, DJ Trixx is ready to take on any stage and keep the crowd dancing all night with his infectious energy and unparalleled skills behind the decks.
