Renowned for defying death on stage, Chanelle holds the world record for "the most bullet catches executed by any female magician." Her groundbreaking show, Five Ways to Kill a Magician, which premiered at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival in 2023, explored life, death, and the human spirit through daring feats. Chanelle's connection to her Indigenous roots adds another layer of meaning to her work. With suicide being the leading cause of death among First Nations youth, she sees magic as a vital tool for hope and empowerment. As she often says, “Magic has a unique way of opening the mind to believe in the seemingly impossible.” Through her craft, she teaches that if anything is possible, so is overcoming obstacles—reminding us all that by believing in ourselves, we can achieve whatever we set our minds to.
