✨ Scout locations: Visit your venue ahead of time to identify the best spots for photos. Consider lighting, backgrounds, and any special features you want to include. If your photographer has worked at that venue before, trust their expertise; you hired them for a reason.
✨ Relax and have fun: Enjoy the moment! Natural, candid shots often turn out the best, so let your love shine through in every frame. HAVE FUN with it. It’s you and your partner on one of the happiest days of your life.
✨ Plan your timeline: Make sure there is enough time allocated for all the photos you want, including group shots, couple portraits, and any special moments you want captured. This is where I come in: creating your timeline, including these special moments are my personal favourite.

✨ RSVP Cards: Make it easy for guests to confirm their attendance and meal choices.
✨ Thank You Cards: Show your appreciation to your guests for celebrating with you.
✨ Table Numbers & Place Cards: Keep things organized and guide your guests to their seats seamlessly. If you are planning on doing guest favours, you should also incorporate the same theme as your stationery, or at the very least the font where possible.
✨ Programs & Menus: Share the order of events and tantalizing menu offerings with your guests.

Choosing the perfect wedding venue can be overwhelming, but visiting potential locations is an exciting part of the planning process. To ensure that you make the most out of your wedding venue tour, it’s important to ask the right questions. This will not only ensure that you are prepared for future plans, but also allows you to see what venue fits within your budget.
Aside from the basic ones such as availability and capacity, consider asking the following questions:
✨ What is the rental fee and what’s included in that price?
✨How much is the deposit, when is it due, and is it refundable?
✨Can you have a ceremony there, too? Is there an additional cost?
✨ What time do you get access to the venue to set up ?
✨ Are there changing areas for the bride, groom, and/or wedding party?
✨Is there a set day for the rehearsal or can you pick a date that is mutually beneficial?
✨Can you do a food tasting before you finalize your menu selection? Does it cost extra?
✨Are tables, linens, chairs, plates, silverware, and glassware provided, or will you have to rent them yourself or get them through the caterer, if the venue doesn’t have in house catering?
✨ Is there a cake-cutting fee? If you use a cake made on site is the fee waived? If you get a friend, say, - is it waived? (Saving money where you can)
✨ Is there a corkage fee, are they licensed for alcohol or do you have to get your own?
✨ Is menu a la carte or offer packages?
✨ Are you allowed to bring your own decor? Do they have any decor available to you?
✨Can you use real candles or just led?
✨ Do they provide security service? (If it’s in a public venue)
✨ Do they have a coat check ?
✨ Do they have a safe for you to use for presentation at end of dinner service?
✨ Do they have sound system and microphone for speeches / ceremony?
✨What time does the event have to be over by? When does your decor have to be out by?

❣️ Of course there are many more that you could ask that are important to you! For example, for our wedding natural light was very important - so we asked lots of questions about accessibility of opening blinds, curtains, etc!

❣️Are you planning a wedding and trying to figure out the difference between a venue coordinator and a wedding coordinator? Well, look no further!

✨A venue coordinator is someone who works for the venue where your wedding will take place. They are responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly at the location. This may include setting up tables, chairs, and decor, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring the venue is clean and ready for your big day.
✨ On the other hand, a wedding coordinator is someone who works for you and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of your wedding day. This includes working with vendors, creating timelines, managing the wedding party, and ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
✨ While a venue coordinator is a valuable asset to have, they are not the same as a wedding coordinator. A wedding coordinator is focused solely on your wedding and making sure everything is exactly how you want it. They will work with the venue coordinator to ensure everything is in place, but they are ultimately responsible for making sure your wedding day is perfect.
So, if you want to ensure your wedding day is stress-free and runs smoothly, consider hiring a wedding coordinator to take care of all the details!

Hi there ❣️
Quickly wanted to jump on here and introduce myself for those who haven’t met me yet; it’s been a minute.
My name is Cristina and I’m the face behind X-traOrdinary Weddings and Events or XO Events.
I started this company for one reason alone… ready for this? It’s cheesy as all can be, but… I LOVE LOVE.
I absolutely love weddings and meeting new couples. My favourite parts of a wedding is the parent dances and the speeches. I am tears all the way, but don’t worry they are happy tears.
Aside from a business owner I am a mom to 2 beautiful, smart and very sassy little girls. I am a wife to a hardworking handsome man; who usually is my muscle at weddings. I am a daughter to amazing parents and a sister to the kindest brother.
I am a strong believer that laughter is the medicine of the soul and I am always (almost always, sometimes I have my days) see the glass half full kind of gal.
Aside from cheesy romantic movies, that you guessed it - I always cry during; I enjoy crime shows and I am obsessed with Greek mythology.
✨ Fun fact: both my girl’s names are Greek/ Latin derived.
One of my old time favourite movies is PS I love you. And my favourite place to visit to date is GREECE… dum dum dum. Surprising right? Haha 😂
