Almost one month since I have finished my education with by and the summer season has successfully started this past weekend with our team de choc, how we say in French!

I am so grateful for the trust of our couple and their emotions, for the BOMBASTIC energy we had during this wedding from their friends and family, for our incredible vendors who put out not even a 100% but 200% and rocked this boat!

My wonderful floral team of .swiss, my coordination team of beautiful young ladies and , our host star .eu and amazing photo&video team .creator .hristev and my dear MUAH - thanks for making this start such a pleasure by working with great people and great professionals!

I am very motivated to deliver to you and to our clients this and next year the greatest events! Also to be a part of and for some projects this summer season!

So far I have started learning Italian, got another wedding degree with one of the best wedding schools on the market, passed with distinction my wine exam for Level II and did this fresh photo session with the ladies who made me look beautiful and self reassured - just wanted to share with you!

Have a blast everyone! Much love!

Daria, the wedding planner 🙂

Some unconventional tips that can make your big day truly special :

1️⃣ Think about Less Popular Dates:
Instead of going for a Saturday in June, consider a weekday or an off-peak month. It can save you money and give you more options for venues and vendors.

2️⃣ Try Family-Style Meals:
Instead of the usual buffet or plated dinner, go for family-style dining. It’s like a big family meal where everyone shares dishes. It’s more interactive and makes the meal feel cozy.

3️⃣ Let Your Crew Dress Comfortably:
Forget the matchy-matchy bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen suits. Let your wedding party wear outfits they feel good in. It’s more relaxed and shows off their personalities.

4️⃣ Make Your Reception Interactive:
Add fun things for guests to do, like a DIY cocktail bar, lawn games, or a photo booth. It keeps everyone entertained and makes your wedding stand out.

5️⃣ Send Digital Invites:
Instead of mailing out paper invitations, go digital. It’s better for the environment, saves you money, and gives you more options for designs. Plus, it’s easier to keep track of RSVPs.

Let me know which tip you’re planning to incorporate ✍️

It’s not a secret that when we help you to organise your wedding we do become really close at some point! We ask you about your personal life, your families, your friends, your love stories. We share your fears and stresses, your joyful moments and laugh together.

BUT

At the same time for both of us it is important to remember that we are:
- Leading the organisation for you
- We are your business partners in this endeavour
- We always sign contracts to have legal regulations of our cooperation
- We respect each other’s personal space and limits
- We check constantly if we are on the same page as sometimes we think that other people should read our minds and know exactly what we want - well, it’s difficult, lol! We have to tell each other more and explain those things.
- We have to have transparency in money related questions, from both sides too!
- It is important to stay true to YOUR personality and nature, we are who we are and our job to use our personality to express yours!
- Also, it’s fine to part our ways if we feel that this relationship is not working out, but we will do it with respect and dignity according to our contracts.

Thanks for taking this into consideration when you choose to work with me and my team - I promise you that we are doing exactly the same when we are privileged to work with you too.

Thanks to and for teaching us and reminding us how important these things are!

Sometimes couples are surprised we work with a team of 3 people minimum for any size of event. Well, it is easy to explain as there are so many functions involved even in the smallest celebration.

Let me just give you some ideas:

Swipe 🔝 for the responsibilities 😉

See, all these functions are just a part of what we do - in addition we also control
- the teams of vendors and food for them
- parking situations,
- being in touch with the cleaning during the event,
- overlooking food exits with the kitchen to align it with the program,
- music with the DJ for first dance,
- when to bring the cake

and, yet I can still go on and on.

And the thing is that you don’t want your friends and families do that for 2 main reasons: 1) you can’t blame them if they f**k up, because it’s not their job, they are not getting paid for that, they are not professional event coordinators, 2) you just want them also to relax and enjoy!

One of the most important things I have been learning through all these years of working especially with the wedding industry and also of educating myself - is that it’s important to understand that this is A REAL SERIOUS BUSINESS.

That is why even when I am super excited and inspired by my couples and their stories it technically only lasts few moments, as right after I immediately start to plan things in my head: contracts to sign, deadlines to follow, payments to make, arrangements to secure, budgeting and booking, documentations and excel sheets. For us it is business, it is a service that we provide and we earn money doing it, preferably doing it good!

So the bottom-line of all said above is - I do believe that documents with as much info as possible are key to efficiency and success, to trust and transparency, to well established relations with clients AND other vendors.

Not just it’s important for our couples to see exactly where we are, but also our partners and service providers who work with us have much better understanding of what we expect from them when they have:

- Guest list and seating plan
- Checklist for Photo & Video (something I intend to emphasize more this season)
- Checklist for MC/host
- Stop list and Hit list for DJs
- General timing, technical timing, stage timing
- Team list
- Checklist for venue
- Checklist for catering
- Venue set up plan

And even more! Thanks to and for gifting us with some advanced templates and instruments to make our services even better!

«Music makes the people come together» - Madonna

Music plays such an essential role in every event and weddings especially! The choice of it is so important for every stage of your celebration as it helps to create the exact emotional state for every part of it. Light music for the cocktail, emotional and meaningful music for the ceremony, lively dance music for the dinner and disco for the afterparty, for example!

My recommendation would be not to have live music for the ceremony, because:
• What if musicians don’t come (late, accident, sick)?
• They can start later than needed and finish later than you demanded, especially when you plan for ceremony scenario, because they are humans and cannot deem the music like you do with record.
• If they play acoustically and weather conditions are tricky - they may demand additional sun protection like umbrellas, or to move them somewhere, their music sheets can fly away. If lots of people are outside during the ceremony, not everyone will hear the sound equally.

Don’t forget to always have HIT LIST and STOP LIST for your djs event after defining the styles you like. Choose 20-30 songs you absolutely want to hear and list of those that under no conditions (even if your favorite grandma demands) will be played during the night.

Also, it is really important to have it technically provided and supported by professional teams (and not your relatives, best man, etc.) - what if something goes wrong? Can they fix it? Is it safe electricity wise? What to do if they cannot fix it? Can they bring an extra/spare set or cable? During important moments like the ceremony or first dance, you shouldn’t be worrying about this; it’s best left to the professionals.

It is especially important if you have any celebrities coming to sing at your event - but here we definitely recommend you to have an organizing team who will have one separate person taking care of their technical, logistical and common demands for you! It can be super tricky!

Let’s talk about wedding hosts or MCs!

When we say this to couples coming from post-soviet regions, the first thought they have is «Omg, please, no Tamada!» as they don’t want a senior lady with a mic announcing the toast non stop and engaging stupid contests for the drunk guests 😬 Clients with European background don’t understand this concept at all, since it’s not really a common feature of the weddings here.

Why do I think having a host on your wedding day IS A GOOD IDEA?

Primarily, besides civil or religious weddings, the host can lead the symbolic ceremony. Teaming up with the DJ, a professional host delivers a well-planned, lively ceremony following a script crafted alongside the organizing and technical crew.

The host aids in maintaining balance and guiding guests, stepping in whenever guests need to be relocated, attention is required for a crucial moment, or there’s a wedding-related announcement—supporting the organizing team seamlessly.

The MC smoothly transitions between phases, engaging guests by entertaining, communicating, evoking laughter, or highlighting emotional moments. They oversee the couple’s entrance, cake cutting, speeches, first dance, and other key moments while checking with our team that:
- The couple is ready
- Everyone who is needed is in the room
- Technicians and ready
- Kitchen is good to go

When choosing an MC, start with checking socials:
- how do they dress for events?
- What’s their style according to promo or other videos from events?
- Are they well followed and recommended by wedding pros?
MEETING (online or offline)
- Talk with them, they have to share your life values and interests
- Sense of humour that you like
- The way they improvise, is it up to your standards?

Anyway, you have us and we will always recommend a good MC for your event out of our pool and experience! Thanks again to and for giving us extra self assurance in what we do, and do It well!

Hey guys! Spring has just started and there is so much going on in terms of preparation for our late spring, summer and autumn projects - we are soooo excited!! But the most important thing that you could have done - you did. You chose us! (joking, but not really 😁) You have booked a venue, and if we have the venue - we can get everything else going.

But venues can be different and sometimes you have to base your choice not only on the places you like but also taking into consideration some of their advantages and limitations. For example:
▪️ Level of noise allowed (including music outside AND inside)
▪️ Hours when venue can be operated
▪️ Technical equipment it already has or you are allowed to bring
▪️ Exclusive vendors that you are obliged to choose from
▪️ Accommodation for you and your guests
▪️ Logistics questions for vendors (how to bring equipment, which entrance, service elevator?)
▪️ How far is it for your guests to come and how, and where to park
▪️ Does it have a full-scale kitchen for catering or only for heating the food up?
▪️ Does it have any furniture included in the rental?
▪️ Do you need an additional insurance for historic venue?

Basically, all these things you hire us to filter and research for you to find the venue of your dreams. And thanks to our experience, existing database and constant researches we know exactly how to ask those questions and where to find this information in the contracts.

In addition, we are learning more and more each day! Thanks to and for making us even mightier!

Something I always tell to my couples who come to me to create their celebration - don’t forget this is your day and there are no rules! 🙌

▶️ First of all, figure out why do you want to celebrate at all? Who is this day for? Is it for you to enjoy? Is it because your friends were waiting for 10 years to celebrate your wedding? Or is it because it is a family tradition and your parents want to invite 100500 of their guests and you NEED to have this celebration?

Whatever the reason - there are no rules you HAVE to follow, unless of course you want it to be super traditional. Every celebration is different and we are there for you to make it as personal as possible.

We ask you tons of questions, we create many mood boards, we ask YOU to create the mood boards! We ask you what you liked or didn’t like while going to other weddings and what special animations, artists, elements you want to bring in to make it even more «you».

And if you want it to be absolutely different we bring in our JOKER - event director and event scenario. If you don’t want just to have a party, but you want to go deeper, to put additional sense into every single part of your wedding day. To include your love story, your traditions, your hobbies, things you love… If you want your guests to leave your celebration with a very specific aftertaste and emotion - here we come with a unique concept that will include technical solution, music, decoration, stationery, light, artists and performers - all dedicated to creation of this special feel…

I value so much the knowledge I get at , as this helps me and my team to bring our service and our offer for you to a different level. Let’s do it together, let your fantasy go wild! ✨

Some of you wonder what exactly the wedding planner does or how is it to work with one? What is the procedure and how is the whole process usually organized?

Well, let me tell you some basic steps of our work together so you know what to expect )

1️⃣ First of all, you get in touch with us via Instagram, Email, WhatsApp, contact form on our website and tell us where and when you need our help)
2️⃣ We organize a first meeting or video call to get to know each other a little bit and see if we like each other! (It is important to have a connection as if we choose to work together we will spend a lot of time being in touch!)
3️⃣ First meeting is all about you telling us how you envision your special day and what you expect from us - and for us explaining to you how we operate, what are the steps, what are our tariffs and the vision in general.
4️⃣ After the first meeting we generate a first approximate budget, we provide you with our contract, define the exact cost of our services and based on that and your feeling from our first meeting - you will decide whether you sign with us!
5️⃣ If you sign with us - we will send you a detailed questionnaire to find out more about you, what you like, the story of you meeting each other and falling in love, how you see your wedding day and other details! Also, we create a folder in the cloud and our group chat so that we always stay in touch.
6️⃣ And then the work starts! The most important is to book the venue and then we continue with all the other vendors, creation of invitations, design concept, detailed budget, payment deadlines, guest list and all the other numerous little tasks that you face while planning a wedding. But hey, we got you there!

Our goal is to always become better for you and thanks to we are getting there!
We are looking forward to getting to know you and to working with you, so if you plan your wedding for ‘24 or ‘25, don’t waste the time and send us the message!

Why am I organizing weddings❓

It was not the plan from the very beginning - quite the opposite, when I started working with private events I wanted to emphasize that I am not only limited to weddings, but with time it really did become the main activity.

That’d been said - I came to the wedding business consciously. Before switching from ballroom dancing events to private - I have completed a degree in the wedding school, did get in touch with one of the wedding planners in Switzerland to ask if she is willing to take me as her padawan, worked on a few weddings for free and gained insider experience. I was not a bride who organized her own wedding and then decided to do it for others (actually I never even had my own wedding! , only a civil wedding in the city hall) - I came in with a cold head accepting the challenge professionally!

All of this happened because I believed in my organizational skills, I knew that more than anything I am able to put together different vendors, create a smooth timetable and coordinate it all in a proper manner! And also that I am capable of communicating with almost anyone and deal with the stress in a balanced and calm manner. So add this to the database of different venues, technical companies, artists and caterings that I had collected by then - I was pretty sure it would work out, it was bound for success!

So answering the question, why am I doing this? Well, because I can! And because I am good at it, and also because I never stop learning and increase my qualification in the field. These days it’s whereI am following a course for Wedding Planners to be a better planner for you, my dear clients, colleagues, vendors (yes, yes, as all our Vendors are not less important than the clients themselves). But also because with every single celebration we do for our clients this vessel inside of me is getting filled with positivity, love, joy and energy.

Did you know that leap years have some cool wedding traditions? 🤔 In the honor of the Feb 29th, let’s look at some of them :

1️⃣ Women Proposing to Men: In some cultures, it’s believed that women can propose to men during leap years, reversing the usual gender roles.

2️⃣ Financial Penalties: In some places, there was a tradition where men who refused a woman’s proposal during a leap year had to pay a penalty, such as buying the woman gloves or providing compensation.

3️⃣ Good Luck: Getting married on a leap day is sometimes considered lucky, as it’s believed to bring prosperity and blessings to the marriage.

4️⃣ Long-lasting Marriage: It’s also said that couples who marry during a leap year will have a long and happy marriage, although this is more of a superstition than a tradition.

5️⃣ Leap Year Babies: Couples may choose to have their wedding on February 29th to add an extra special element to their anniversary, especially if they have a child born on a leap day.

So, who’s up for taking the leap? 😉 Tag a 2024 bride 🔻

I am so happy being where I am today - planning your amazing events, creating and expanding the horizons of your vision and my own horizons of what I can do for you!

And as in any other profession I think it is appropriate and important to increase your qualifications not only through personal experiences but through others’ aka I am officially a student again!

This time I decided to go learn from the best as Anastasia Sokolova and her agency was included in the top 100 Powerlist by !
So who to learn from if not from her!

First stage of our education was all about defining all over again what should be a wedding planner and what qualities one should master:
- Being stress resistant is a key of course!
- Ability to quickly and efficiently make decision
- Stay flexible no matter what
- Don’t forget you are the one responsible for everyone
- Be diligent
- Attentive to even smallest of details
- Finding a communicative approach to everyone
- Sense of aesthetics and beauty
- To listen to other and to hear them (yeah, 2 different things)
- Being of course proactive and hold initiative
- Obvious but have good organizational skills
- And keep developing a skill of thinking outside of the box!

These are basic qualities each qualified event or wedding organizer has to have, but on top of that it is important not to forget to stay true to your own principles, style, taste and personality! There is a place for each of us as our vision is indeed so different from one another and there is a client for each of us.

(Swipe 🔝for the ending 😉)
