A&C’s adventure elopement was nothing short of magic and fun, despite the very difficult weather conditions we’ve had here in Switzerland the last period of time. And these two days were no exception.
But with an amazing couple and mindset, replanning and adaptations we had the best time. 🥰
This adventurous couple started their elopement in the stunning Lauterbrunnen Valley! 🇨🇭 We started with getting ready and a sweet first look right by their Airbnb, overlooking a gorgeous waterfall.
The weather threw us a curveball, so we ditched the valley ceremony and hopped on a helicopter to a glacier for an epic snowy vow exchange! ❄ Big thanks to for creating a beautiful ceremony full of love and Air-Glaciers SA for navigating perfectly in between the clouds.
Back in the valley, we chased waterfalls, popped champagne, and refueled with a lunch with a jaw-dropping view.
Next, we chugged up a charming red mountain train for some breathtaking mountain views (before the clouds rolled in!). ☁️ Instead of a picnic we ended the evening cozy in a mountain hut with delicious food and cake.
Because the next day throwed big clouds, wind and rain, we headed to a stunning spot in another valley so they could share their personal vows - zoom in to see the surprise guests! Turns out, elopements can still have unexpected visitors!
The celebration continued with more champagne, rain dancing (because why not?), and a delicious lunch in a picture-perfect mountain hotel. ️
This elopement was all about adventure, love, and making the most of everything - even the weather!

Dee and A***n planned a pretty amazing 2-day elopement in Zermatt, Switzerland. They spent both days exploring and hiking together, including a romantic picnic together after they exchanged wedding vows. Get all the details from their day below.
This amazing 2 day elopement goes to the books as the elopement with the most problem solving this year. And also to the books as the most wonderful couple and family! So we made it a success against so many odds! With the right mindset we solved all the issues from that the wedding clothes didn’t arrive with the flight to guests not being equipped and more. ✨
G&B got ready in their beautiful Zermatt chalet with their very best friends. Some quick portraits in the old town and then off to the heliport.
After a scenic tour around Matterhorn G&B landed on a secluded mountain top in front for some cuddles and snow play. This spring gave us a lot of snow as you can see!
The heli dropped us off on the mountain where we met up and had a quick lunch with the 7 guests and then headed off to the ceremony spot ( the second one) where we had a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony with Matterhorn as their altar.
And some champagne!!
At their chalet in the evening we had a private chef who cooked an amazing serie of tasty dishes.
In the end of the evening we did a little romantic tour for stargazing.
The second day we headed to Lauterbrunnen for some flowers and greens. These two locations are not usual to combine for logistical reasons but for an April elopement when you want to combine snow and flowers it’s perfect.

Do you want to meet all the Swiss animals on your elopement? Then elope in summer for the best chances to see them. Most common are marmots, cows, ibexes, chamois and black nose sheep.
This amazing 2 day elopement was absolutely one for the books. These lovely Canadians took adventure seriously and took the helicopter to do vows on the mountain top, skied, had a whirlpool bath at sunset in front of Matterhorn, snowshoed at night and stayed on the mountain overnight in an Ice hotel. And yes, the whole adventure in wedding ware! (With lots of layers of course!)

I grew up in Sweden but lived over 20 years in different parts of Switzerland and several years of living in other countries such as France and UK and travelling to other parts of the world, I feel very much European. Taking risks is my comfort zone.
Fun facts about me:
– I looove when it snows!
– I have a silver medal in the British Championships of Gymnastics
– I used to climb and snowboard (but didn’t touch it since I got my new skis that I’m in love with)
– My dreams are to design my own house and to live a life full of adventures and always trying new things.

A few years ago, I found myself knee-deep in wedding planning, navigating the delicate balance between tradition and personalisation. It was a beautiful day, but amidst the joy, there were moments that gave me pause. Reflecting on those experiences, combined with witnessing the stress and overwhelm of countless traditional weddings I’d photographed, left me pondering: was there a better way?
As I watched brides and grooms teetering on the edge of exhaustion and anxiety, it became clear to me that there had to be an alternative.
That’s when the idea struck me—I wanted to offer couples a different kind of wedding experience. One that was free from stress and expectation, and wholly focused on celebrating their unique love story.
That’s why I’m here, pouring my heart and soul into co – creating elopements that are as adventurous as they are intimate. My mission? To ensure you have the most incredible day of your lives, filled with love, adventure, laughter, and unforgettable moments. So let’s embark on this journey together and make your wedding day everything you’ve ever dreamed of—and more.
I had my first 100% Swiss elopement this year! N&T really did it their way and with a combination of eloping and still having guests.
So I met N&T on the Friday morning at their mountain hotel and we took of to their favourite mountain place! We hiked straight up for an hour or so, with a nice little picnic on the way.
They really wanted the orange larches and normally at this time of year (mid October) that’s what you get. But this summer was nice and warm so long that the larches waited a little longer. But they were lucky as it was really the last summery day before the 2 month long rain period arrived!
After the picnic we continued up to find ‘their’ place where they exchanged their love and vows for life together. 🥰🏔️
These hours were really just for them and after a relaxed and intimate day on the mountain we took of to the city hall where they signed the legal papers in the presence of just the nearest family and witnesses.
Just after the city hall all the friends were waiting to have a simple and relaxed outdoor aperitif to celebrate together at a beautiful view point over the valley.

You are such a talented photographer; you were so easy to work with, and so generous with your time. You were so patient and kind even though being sick wasn’t making things easy. The photos are amazing, and I couldn’t believe how great they all turned out.
I’m happy to have them to look back on. I knew what I was thinking in certain photos and I’m so happy to have those memories to cherish for years to come… Even if I felt like that hike was going to kill me and a helicopter was going to have to rescue me HAHA!

D&A's elopement part 4
The 2d day began with a quest to capture the first light of dawn, and it was pure magic! (Check my previous posts to see the stunning sunrise)
But that was just the beginning. We're all about making the most of our days, so we set off on a 5-kilometer hike to explore another three different lakes in this breathtaking region. Breakfast picnic by the second lake totally alone was the perfect start to our journey.
Nature's serenity, the company of lovely people, and the beauty of these lakes have left me utterly awestruck. Sometimes, the best moments are those where you simply immerse yourself in the beauty of the world around you.

2/4 of A&D’s Swiss elopement
After their ceremony at the glacier, the helicopter dropped them off at a different mountain peak, where they embarked on a picturesque one-hour walk down to the mountain hotel where they would be staying. The path was adorned with breathtaking views, but D&A stumbled upon an extraordinary spot that took their breath away – an overlook with the grandiose Gornergrat glacier in the distance. It was the perfect location for a champagne and aperitif, and they savored the moment with the glacier's grandeur as their backdrop.
The mountain hotel, like many Swiss mountain chalets, was simple yet radiated a charming wooden warmth. D&A checked in and enjoyed a hearty meal in the rustic restaurant. Their day was far from over, though. They had a plan to make the most of their surroundings, heading down to the nearby lake.
Equipped with lanterns, a picnic basket filled with delectable treats, champagne, and warm tea, they made their way to the tranquil lake. The setting was nothing short of enchanting, as the lanterns cast a warm, gentle glow, contrasting with the cool, serene waters. It was a moment of pure, unadulterated romance.
As they walked back to the hotel, a surprise encounter awaited them. A herd of mountain sheep surrounded them on their journey home for the night. D&A, filled with a sense of awe and adventure, embraced the unexpected company, feeling a unique connection to the natural world around them.
Their evening continued with a sunset picnic by the lake. They savored every bite, listened to their favorite songs playing softly in the background, and, when the time felt right, shared their first dance. It was a dance under the open sky, surrounded by the majestic Swiss Alps and Matterhorn, with the stars above and the tranquility of the lake at their feet.

D&A's love story had found a new chapter in the heart of the mountains, and they couldn't have asked for a more magical day to mark the beginning of their journey together.

It IS possible to mix luxury with adventure on your elopement! It’s also possible to have snow and rugged rocks and lush greens in one day. Especially if you choose to elope over more than one day, you can really cover it all.
They started In Lausanne at Beau Rivage Palace for a real treat and got ready there in the morning separately for a first look in the garden with champagne. Then we took of to a different part of Switzerland where they had lunch just before a helicopter tour to the glacier.
After the helicopter drop on the glacier we hiked up for one hour to reach this scenic ridge. We hiked for a bit to find the right spot for the ceremony just before sunset.
It was D’s brother who held the beautiful ceremony at the, a little stormy, sunset. As you may have guessed, we hiked almost 1 h down in the dark with lanterns and headlamps to take them back to their amazing hotel with private whirlpool bath. Champagne, bubbles stars and flower petals from the hotel. What a perfect ending to a perfect day

Hiking up in the dark to the elopement spots might sound scary and boring. But I assure you, it’s both exciting and beautiful. ❤️ Start the rest of your life together with an adventure!
Tips of how to pop the champagne like a boss! - Open the bottle gently. You can cover the cork with a towel to help catch it as you pull it out, or pick a bottle with a twist top. Keep/throw the cork in the bin. - Put your thumb over the bottle opening - Shake it like mad towards the photographer or almost... - Move your thumb so some of the bottle opening is exposed Once the spray subsides, cover the hole and shake it up again - Smile, kiss, go mad.. :) There is no reason to go expensive with this bottle, just bring more bottles for drinking. :) You can even do it with just sparkling water bottle that looks like champagne! That's 100% leave no trace as well!
