My name is Ketaka Rason. Of Malagasy descent, with Swiss citizenship, education and living experience from NYC, Paris, Geneva & Tokyo as well as project work experience from over 6 more countries in the world and extensive travelling throughout South East Asia these past 15 years. I am truly multicultural, in other words I am international. I embrace diversity and different cultures and my career
reflects this diversity; I am always eager and hungry to learn all any aspects of a person, of a business ... of anything. I connect with people, adapt to them and am appreciated! With over 15 years of experience in planning, organizing and problem solving to complete multiple deadline-driven projects efficiently and on time within different industries, I specialized in assisting CEOs and GMs in the management of their hectic daily professional and personal lives with dynamic diplomacy and in planning their big events as well. A key moment in my life was when my cousin and his partner asked me to be their wedding planner. Though they knew beforehand that I had always loved to plan weddings, I do not think they had an idea how happy I felt at that moment. It was if I was the one receiving the best thing ever…
They both speak and understand gazillions of languages, are successful financial MBAs who own homes in London, France and Luxembourg. They currently live in London but had decided to have their wedding where a big part of their heart lies, in Lacanau France. After 10 months together organizing their wedding, I never doubted I could not do it. But retrospectively, when I think of it, it sounded … unfeasible! A planner based Geneva Switzerland, the couple living in London and the wedding to be celebrated in the beautiful seaside Cap Cod-ish surf capital of France, namely Lacanau. That sounded crazy and incredible at the same time! But we did it. The more we planned, the more virtual and real meetings we had (sometimes, we had to manage meetings when the three of us would travel to different locations than the ones mentioned above!), the more the couple encouraged me to start my own business as a wedding planner. We pulled it off. Once the wedding was celebrated, once I saw how thrilled not only the couple was, but also their families and their dearest friends…that was it. They all thanked me in a way that brought me a sense of peace and my objective became chrystal clear. It felt like an epiphany, you know? It felt like I was at the right spot, that I was finally doing the right thing. It all made sense. It was my “Ah haa” moment. From there on, I decided to take things into my own hands and work with the CEOs of my choice. With the support of my cousin and his partner, and the support of my family and my business development coach and mentor I decided to become a wedding planner, The Wedding Planner of my own business.
