Diligent Servers-Cameroon 🇨🇲 carried out a clean-up Campaign on Monday, 23rd September 2024 within Buea the headquarters of Fako Division in the South West Region of Cameroon. In view of effective resumption of the 2024/2025 academic year in most schools within the South West Region of Cameroon, the Clean-up Campaign was dedicated to schools and Praise Baptist Academy (PBA) Ndongo-Buea was selected to ensure their environment is clean and conducive for learning following their resumption.
As approved by the Director of PBA: Mr. Theodore Buh, the work was well-done: the classes set for Student's learning and the surrounding cleaned.

*Day 4 of Diligent Servers Cleaning Campaign*

The famous Mayor's street of Buea received a Diligent touch from Diligent Servers on the fourth day of their campaign beginning from the prestigious HIMS right up around Checkpoint.

Though famous, the poorly handled Mayor's street and its drainage was cleaned-up from the sewage tied in plastics and dump there as well as differing sizes and qualities of refuse disposed on the road and in the drainage channel of the road.

This day being the most in which work ended very late had determined servers ready to restore the dignity of the famous "Mayor's street." Though with limited resources like face masks, wreck, spade and other equipments, through the efforts of these patriotic servers, they restored the beauty of the street expressed as on-lookers appreciated with comments and other inquiring more about the team.

The dedication and teamwork of the servers through out this period serves as a powerful reminder that collective action can lead to remarkable change.

Day 3 of the Diligent Servers Campaign

From around the source of the Ndongo stream through its Channel as well as its banks, Diligent Servers took on the third day of their Campaign: Pushing down the heavy litters found in and by the flowing stream. The team of Committed Servers discovered that, most houses by the stream use the stream as their gabbage bin while others went ahead to see it as suitable area for their sewage disposal not taking into consideration the size of the population using the same water for laundry and bathing in which children play in it and at one moment may unconsciously drink it.
This left a burden in the hearts of the servers on the need environmental stewardship in which every one from base level right up to the Council could put in measures and efforts to ensure the sanity of our community.

The initiative not only aimed to enhance the stream's natural beauty but also to promote the health of the local ecosystem.
The day's engagement ended at point of confluence of the Ndongo stream and the seasonal stream sourcing from the Mt. Fako. The team looks forward to continuing this vital task another day.

*Day Two Of Diligent Servers Cleaning Campaign*

Today's target: from Malingo junction stretching down to Molyko (dirty) South was a more dunting task. Challenged with the rains, servers braved the odds and massively answered present to ensure that the streets are clean though it was rainy.
Though limited with work equipments, the enthusiastic participation of volunteers showcased a strong commitment to fostering a cleaner and healthy community for all.

*Day One of Diligent Servers CLEANING CAMPAIGN*

A day with a team of dedicated Diligent Servers rolled up their sleeves to tackle litter along the main thoroughfare from the Governor's Office down to the Council Office. Armed with gloves and trash bags, these committed individuals worked tirelessly to pick up discarded papers bottles, transforming the pathway into a cleaner, more inviting space.

Professionalism, hygiene, and sanitation demands that every hostess on duty, especially those Hostesses and protocols assigned to work in the food department should maintain:

☀️A short and clean finger nails.

☀️A plastic hand gloves which should be change at least twice and why not three times. First when taking the food from the kitchen to the various tables and when serving food to the guests.

BUFFET ETIQUETTES FOR INVITEES AND HOSTESSES ON DUTY.

Before going to the BUFFET and when you're already at the Buffet,

1. WASH YOUR HANDS FIRST.
Washing your hands prevents the spread of germs and bacteria that can be present on your hands. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds to reduce the likelihood of introducing harmful bacteria and viruses to the food.

2. ROLL LONG SLEEVES.
Rolling up your long sleeves while serving or eating at a buffet is a good idea for several reasons:

Hygiene: Prevents the loose fabric from touching and potentially contaminating the food.
Comfort: Helps you stay cool and comfortable.
Professionalism: Gives a professional look, especially in a casual buffet setting.

3. DON'T CUT THE LINE.
It is rude to cut the line at a buffet. Buffets are designed to allow everyone to enjoy a variety of food options at their own pace. Cutting in line can disrupt the meal’s flow and make it difficult for others to access their desired dishes.

If the line is moving slowly or someone takes a long time to serve themselves, it’s best to exercise patience and wait for your turn. If you’re in a rush, you can politely ask if you can go ahead.

4. DON'T STAKE YOUR PLATE WITH FOOD.
When attending buffet events, it’s easy to get carried away with all the food choices available and take more than you can eat. Pilling up your plate with all types of food can make you look greedy. You can always return for more if you’re still hungry and the food is available.
