The Story of Sino-American Friendship – Ping Liu and the Nixon Presidential Library 🇨🇳🇺🇸
In 1972, Nixon's historic visit to China changed the world. Ping, a young worker in Guizhou Province of China at the time, was inspired to learn English. In 2013, Nixon's grandson, Christopher Nixon Cox, led a group to China to trace his grandfather's historic "ice-breaking" visit. Liu Ping was involved in designing the details of the trip and accompanied the delegation as they visited Beijing, Hangzhou, and Shanghai, retracing Nixon's footsteps.
As Ping continues her work as a grassroots ambassador for friendship, she remains committed to building bridges through dialogue and cultural exchange.
