I'm really happy that you are reading this, because I have some important things to tell you about my life and labor experience before I decided to be an independent person. First of all, my name is Marianella, I'm Costa Rican and a mother of 2 adorable and energetic children. Because of them I have become a better version of myself; knowing that examples are their biggest lessons in life makes you think twice about what they are learning from you. They have a strong mom that wants to help them be confident and passionate about their lives.
Personally, I'm a really enthusiastic, optimistic and organized person. My first experience in a multicultural environment was when I was 12 years old during a summer camp in Greece and the point here is, that I figured at a really young age that we really have to listen and understand from different perspectives in every situation we are going to deal throughout life. Cultures and traditions are different from country to country and we have to understand and respect them.
I have the background of living abroad in Germany being an exchange student and in the United States of America during my International College Program at Disney World. I studied Hotel Management and I have worked with different Marriott brands. The places I have been are the Costa Rica Marriott, JW Marriott Guanacaste, Residence Inn Escazú and The Mangroove Hotel Marriott Autograph Collection, the latter being the one where I worked as the Events and Wedding Coordinator.
Why am I telling you this? Because during all these years I have gained a lot of high-end costumer service experience, attended many trainings and lived situations that provided me with the knowledge, confidence and focus to become an entrepreneur.
I have also been living in Guanacaste for the past 6 years, first in Tamarindo and now by Playas del Coco right next to Península de Papagayo. Since I can remember, I visited both areas during vacations with my family and friends, so this is a place I call home.
From the different jobs and positions I´ve had, the time I organized weddings at the boutique hotel is the one that comes on top because of how personalized each one was. The story behind every couple, the people that join them on their big day and believe in them for the moment they are becoming a new family. I have seen happy tears, big smiles and huge heartwarming hugs from families and friends that share the happiness of a new beginning, for they are reunited to share the moment and have traveled from so many different and distant places.
Destination Weddings is not only getting married in a nice place, it is about creating memories with your loved ones away from home, having an amazing time, making sure everything is perfect. Having everything ready and in place with the right people and vendors is where I become your best partner. Communication is the base of this type of planning, as we will be apart most of the time. Because of this let me assure you that I'm a great listener and an open ears person, which is why I wanted to tell you about my experiences abroad and previous jobs, all of them taught me to put myself in the other person´s shoes and translate their words, ideas and dreams into a reality.
