For 3 years I bought into the MYTH I heard over & over & over - that Nicaragua was a dangerous place to visit & that the border crossing was a nightmare!! The ONLY reason I came was a group of us couldn't go to Bocas del Toro (where I'd been going faithfully for 3 years prior) because the Sixiola Bridge was closed from flooding & I need a WATER FIX!! Sadly, this'll probably be one of Big Wave Daves last openings forever. Stop by & wish the team well as they continue the adventure that is Nicaragua.
(I'm extra sad as Dave Grace is an AWESOME person & been such an important icon/person/business in San Juan del Sur. Plus his burgers have been MY FAV!!!)
