Wedding fun facts: 🤍

1.⁠ ⁠Dani + Dav, both graphic designers, had a playful and refreshing concept that reflected their personality. Every corner was a colorful feast to the eye.

2.⁠ ⁠Still swooning over that bold purple + blue checkered dance floor with a floating garden!

3.⁠ ⁠Why traditional robes when you and your besties can be comfy on these cute PJ sets? Instagrammable was an understatement.

4.⁠ ⁠Dav illustrated custom caricatures for their guests as seating cards. What a fun detail to take home! 🖋️

5.⁠ ⁠So was all the signage - Wavy and funky. Even the bar front design was a masterpiece by the groom and bride!

6.⁠ ⁠A piñata instead of a cake was the most epic idea to open the late night bubble party. Dani wore a tinsel jacket to match the vibe and… bubble guns on fire! 🪅🫧

7.⁠ ⁠Ecclesiastes 3:1 was Dani’s fav bible verse, embroidered on her veil. ✨

8.⁠ ⁠The ice-cream cart that brought out everyone’s inner child was such a huge hit to all guests!🍦

Sometimes, being a little OCD goes a long way. Our team is infamous for being a pain during set-up, moving items inches back and forth looking for the perfect symmetry and visual balance. We just wanted to make sure that our floor plan is well executed and that reality fits / exceeds expectation. Seeing these drone shots gives us the greatest satisfaction!

Doing your own makeup or hiring a professional?

Some tips in case you are pondering on this decision.

We always recommend working with professional MUAs so that your getting ready is stress and rush free. But if you feel more comfortable doing your own makeup (and are very good at it too 😊), here are some aspects we would like you to consider.

1) Take into account weather conditions. Costa Rica is a tropical country and humidity + sweat are your makeup’s #1 enemies. Make sure that the products you use are waterproof / water-resistant and long-lasting.

2) Do your own trial before the wedding and time yourself to see how long you need to get your makeup done - especially if you want to get out of your comfort zone to try a non-daily makeup. Do your trial similar to your wedding timeframe (e.g. if it’s an evening wedding, make sure to wear it to observe how the colors look at night).

3) Plan to start getting ready earlier on your wedding day. Your getting ready might interrupted by lots of unplanned moments like: Pictures conversations, distractions, etc. Plan to have a little extra time so that you won’t be running late!

4) Have a touch-up kit handy with the essentials: Lipstick, powder and oil blotting sheets. You will be kissing, dancing and sweating all day, so this is a saver for you to look impeccable at all times. 🤍

5) What about hair? We highly recommend that your hair is done by a professional because it is more complex and hence more time-consuming. Your hairdo, like your makeup, needs to hold up for many hours so make sure to work with someone with (lots of) experience, techniques and high-quality products.

At end of the day, we want you to feel confident and beautiful on your big day, so do whatever suits you and your abilities best!

Alyssa’s looks were to die for!

Look 1: A traditional Chinese Qun Gua for the tea ceremony.

Look 2: A statement bridal gown and a beautiful veil with embroidered stars to walk down the aisle.

Look 3: A feminine and soft blush gown full of flowers and butterflies for wedding dinner.

Look 4: A silky red evening dress, perfect for the first dance.

Her make-up and hair artist did magic in record time, changing hairdo + makeup to match with every look and making sure she looked impecable throughout the whole wedding day!

The biggest challenge we had was to transform this space from ceremony to reception set-up in less than one hour. Our amazing team of vendors and staff teamed up together to accomplish the mission. We still can’t get over the final results! 😍

Throwing back to this Polish-Costa Rican wedding in a coffee plantation back in 2021. A big part of Costa Rican culture is the local production of coffee and that’s exactly what Margarita & Marek wanted to highlight in their wedding. The ceremony took place at a 𝙗𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙤 𝙙𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙛𝙚 (coffee mill) where coffee beans are sun-dried, and the reception was at a 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙚 (sugar cane mill) where sugar cane is processed. This venue was the perfect fit for an authentic Costa Rican concept.
