The morning started with some brisk showers and had everyone at the meeting points running back into their or some else's vehicle, to take some cover.

Following that we had only some non rain clouds and the sky started to open up.

You could feel the excitement, everybody was ready for this one.
From the youngest participant (8) to the senior amongst us (68) they all were wandering along the route taking in the breathtaking scenery.

A lil bit humid below and windy on top. This hike was full of surprises, just like the steep descent where we all had to hold hands just to make it safely below.

You guys were awesome.

Birds of

The crested caracara or 'warawara' (Caracara plancus) is a beautiful bird of prey that you mainly see in the 'wild west' on Curaçao. Usually on top of a cactus or hidden in the undergrowth. Caracaras live in pairs and cover a large territory.

I choose to make the picture black and white. Only fitting for a beach named BLACK SAND BEACH. And even in black and white I find the beach to be inviting.

This year I took advantage of the opportunity to visit the East and West Coast of the United States.

While at the East Coast I went to a state park called Wekiwa Springs State Park Nature Adventures .

A cute spring that has cristal clear water and is a cool 72° F year-round. That's cold 🥶. Trust me.

But after 5 to 10 minutes submerged in the water, you'll get used to it.

Even though the is not a hiking spot, I got my steps in during this 1.3 miles (2.1 km) walk, EACH WAY 👀

I need 1 more trip and I think I'll be able to give some hiking tours here too 😆

This 2 hour hike is not as easy as it looks.

To bad for the cloudy skies.
But that is the LA weather.
Lots of low clouds.

[ CLOSER THAN EVER TO MY PERSONAL GOAL ]

Last month I visited the island of Sint Maarten and I made sure that this time I would climb its highest point.

A few years ago I set out a personal goal to climb all the highest points of all the six Dutch Caribbean islands.

And last month I came one step closer to have climbed them all.

Only one more to go!!

Did you know that is the second highest top within the ?

And this top is located on the French side of the island. Close to the capital Marigot.

Not all my hikes are fully booked. Some could have only a handful of participants. BUT what we lack in size we gain in chemistry.

Today had it's first radio interview .9fm . Almost two weeks after it had its first TV promotion with Boarding Pass: Boca Samí
again 😂

The interview went great. We talked about how I came to life in , how it came to be that I love nature & why I started -Hiking & Tours -

I felt comfortable. Not nervous at all and the two hosts and Luis were both very good at creating this pleasant vibe. There were many moments when we just laughed and smiled and knotted at each other.
