World Cafe Discussion: Amplifying Youth Voices in ESD

The World Café is open to all participants. Each discussion topic lasted for 30 minutes. Participants can join in on two different topics(30 minutes each). At the end of the World Café, there was a plenary session at the Diamond Ballroom to discuss conclusions and findings.

(a) Multi-sectoral Collaborative Solutions
HALL: THE PARK ROOM Participants delve into the intricacies of forging partnerships and collaborative efforts imperative for catalyzingtransformative change in ESD. They reflect on the significance of adopting a holistic approach that encompassesentire societies, governments, and institutions, with a singular focus on prioritizing the needs of the youth asparamount for national progress.

Description of the session: The purpose of this session is to convene Ministers from the Mediterranean countriesalong with other international and regional organizations to discuss and explore ways of enhancing cooperation,networking, and financing mechanisms for ESD in the Mediterranean region. Specifically, it seeks to:
(a) foster partnerships and collaboration among the Mediterranean countries, international organizations,development agencies, and other stakeholders to strengthen the implementation of ESD,
(b) identify opportunities for leveraging existing funding mechanisms and exploring new sources of financingto support ESD initiatives in the Mediterranean Region, and

Description of the Session: The purpose of this session is to provide opportunities for Ministers from the MED9Countries to discuss the implementation of ESD through whole school/institution approach and provide insightson how WSA/WIA can transform schools and institutions towards sustainability. The session aims to explorehow schools and educational institutions can serve as catalysts for sustainable development by adoptingcomprehensive and integrated approaches as WSA/WIA that encompass curriculum, campus operations,community engagement, professional development, and partnerships. Specifically, it seeks to:
(a) share experiences and best practices in implementing whole school/institution approaches and ESDacross the Mediterranean region,
