I typically craft two types of mixtapes. The first, dubbed “storytelling,” emanates from my thoughts and emotions, featuring intricate stories that demand the right songs to express them. These mixes delve deeper, requiring listeners to fully immerse themselves, often guided by song lyrics for a complete understanding.

On the flip side, the second type, labeled “heart,” lacks a specific story or message. It’s a creation driven solely by my heart and soul, selecting tracks that resonate with my inner rhythm. “Ebabayo” exemplifies this style, where, despite employing complex techniques, song selection was a simple follow-your-heart process.

As a friend once advised, I embraced my heart without overthinking, letting it lead the way. This mixtape is my heartfelt gift to you.

This mixtape was one of my first attempts in multichannel mixing as well of use of acapellas and tools.

Integrating acapellas and multichannel mixing into my set introduces a layer of complexity that requires both technical skill and creative finesse. The challenges I came across include managing multiple audio channels, ensuring precise synchronization between vocals and instrumentals, and maintaining a balanced mix.

On the flip side, the advantages are equally compelling. Multichannel mixing allows for a more immersive and textured sonic experience. Separating elements like vocals, drums, and melodies, offered me a level of control that goes beyond traditional mixing. It opened up avenues for intricate layering, live remixing, and the creation of a truly unique and personalized sound. It gave me creative opportunities for storytelling and emotional connection, transformed my set into a live performance, where each acapella becomes a tool for expression.

In essence, while the technical difficulties may be pronounced, the advantages lie in the potential for a more nuanced, innovative, and captivating DJ set that stands out in the landscape of electronic music.

The inspiration behind my latest mixtape was dreams. I have always had a strong connection between music and dreams, and I often fall asleep while listening to a mix or playlist. I find that music is my way to dreams, and it helps me to relax and drift off into a peaceful sleep. ✨

One day, I came across a beautiful track called "Everybody Dreams" by Romain Garcia. The track features the voices of children telling about their dreams of who they want to become. I decided to use it as the intro and make it the main theme of my mixtape: Dream! Music is the way!🌒

I always strive to create a story for my listeners, and I believe that a great mixtape is like a book that creates a path for the listener to follow. Good books ask questions, but great books ask questions and help you find your own answers.

As the author of my book, I must help the listeners find their answers. And my experience tells me that "Music is the Way". This track by Spada I used as the final track of my mixtape. It's a perfect example of how music can help you to dream and find your way.🙏

In conclusion, my mixtape was created to help my listeners find their own answers and be inspired to dream big and chase their dreams.

My DJ mix, titled "In a Dream," is a collection of tracks that reflect my personal thoughts, fears, and emotions. Although there was no main theme or plot when I first started creating the mix, the track selection was not a coincidence. Each track was chosen for a specific reason and contributed to the overall mood and atmosphere of the mix.

The mix is named "In a Dream" for two reasons, both personal and musical. Both of them will be revealed in my future posts.

"In a Dream" is a deeply personal and introspective mix that invites listeners to explore their own thoughts and emotions. It is a testament to the power of music to connect us to ourselves and to each other.

The idea for my DJ mix "Day of a DJ" came to me while listening to the song "Prospect" by Solomun and ATNA. The lyrics perfectly described the morning of a day when I had to perform on stage.
