What a true honour the last few days on my latest trip to Cyprus has been. These two amazing humans and legends of the rave scene Richard West and Chloe Sinclair were an absolute pleasure and joy to show around and take to some of my favourite restaurants and places to see.

Hayden Baker DJ, producer, promotor, House, and electronic music connoisseur, never afraid to go too deep, his emotive vast musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up on his late mother’s eclectic combination of music Marvin Gaye, Barry White, Stevie Wonder (Motown and Disco), ELO, Fleetwood Mac
and OMD (Rock/Progressive rock/electronic), all which became infused with his own love for ‘80’s Soul, Funk and Groove and all genres of dance music, Hayden ended up with quite a mixed spectrum of musical influences.
Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and infuses together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth work, melodic backdrops, and ruminating baselines, all on top of a pronounced hypnotic beat. Hayden plays a distinctive “underground” deep and funky sound to work the crowd. He
launched “Nothing Better”, a Sunday all-nighter DJing alongside Richie Fingers, Matt Jam Lamont, Paul “Trouble” Anderson and Timmi Magic (Dream Team) at Bagley’s Bunker Bar. By the late nineties early 2000’s Hayden played at most of the biggest clubs in London.
The Ministry of Sound, 93 ft East, Fabric, Cafe de Paris, Heaven to name but a few, a long-term residency at Coalesce (voted best underground club by MixMag). Hayden has worked within hospitality, as both licensee and promoter throughout his career and has promoted highly successful events all over London notably,
Clapham 1998-2006 where he had a residency at Oblivion, The White House as well as launching a highly successful weekly Sunday night called “late for work” at Inigo a DJing regularly alongside Terry Francis, Alex P and Brandon Block. Hayden was also the only DJ at Calling Festival 2014, Clapham Common, headlined by Stevie Wonder and Aerosmith.
Other notable residences at underground house nights Drop, Crux and Muak at Rhythm Factory where he played alongside Fish go Deep, Spirit Chaser (Richard Earnshaw and Mark Bamford) Audio Wh**es and Fred Everything.
Since moving to Cyprus in 2018, Hayden is resident DJ for Incognito underground parties and has delivered successful nights at Havana Beach Bar, Vero chino, Arch but to name a few. In 2020 Hayden created “HOUSELISTIC” https://www.facebook.com/houselistic/ so he could bring more house music to Cyprus which is saturated with predominantly Techno and R&B music, also hosted weekly live streams for House Music.
Hayden and his Daughter “Cam Georgia” A.K.A “PRIDE & JOY” have been busy in the studio producing Tracks and were signed up to “EIGHT BALL RECORORDS U.S.A “ releasing their first E.P “Reality” in May 23 their retro underground addictive sound has been well received and now have their second E.P “MOVE YA BODY”

From 2011, Aristodemos has been a serious component in the underground music scene of Cyprus. His varied appearances in the main musical institutions of the island gathered the notice of the dancers, the listeners and the key figures alike. Whether he was selecting funk and disco rarities in the cocktail spots, grooving to house classics in the major beach bars or piling on the pressure with ravey breaks in dark clubs, his concise and on the point sets gave him a steady flow of appearances, playing at all the major festivals and key events alongside names such as John Digweed and Nina Kraviz, to name just a few.
Never one to stand still he added live sound engineering, mixing and mastering to his musical repertoire gaining reputation as a keen ear and one of the islands top sound engineers. Acting as mixing and mastering engineer for releases on his co-run label Honest Electronics, and also being chief sound engineer and co-owner of Sound Hire Cyprus a speaker and equipment rental

Hailing from the early days of house music from its humble beginning in the UK and influenced by the then dance scene from the early 80's it was only natural to have a developed a great love for music. House music to be specific played a big part of youth culture in those days and the love for it grew and grew over the years. So now after many years of dancing and grooving to house music, becoming more involved in its production and playing is only natural. Playing a unique style of House and more specifically a blend of Deep Progressives grooves for clubs, festivals, and bars here in Cyprus, including Rote club, Salut bar, and grill and for Dj Cyprus (festivals and events), Ammos and Guaba beach bar along with a residency at incognito events, various other boat parties and events around the island and this is just the beginning.
