HOME SWEET HOME!

Up and coming Friday it's up to me, once more, to shut down the floor of !

For those among you, who missed my set at Dark Ceremony on the 14th: I've got some good news for ya!
Since the Soundsystem hasn't been the most powerful, I decided to play the same set one more time.
I'm not at all a fan of recycling sets, but in this case, I'll make an exception 😌

I'ts been a while, but life is busy and time is rare. Still I'm trying to use the little amount of time given, to be musically productive. Yet, sometimes it feels like I'm falling behind. Seeing the people around you, achieving things you've been dreaming off can be motivating, but at the same time it can even push the feeling of never being able to get there. With this doubt and insecurity comes the wish of letting everything behind and to start all over.

I think a lot of people have been at this point. If you can relate, let me tell you something: Everything you have worked for to get where you are now would've been wasted, if you gave up on your dreams. There's a chance, that you won't achieve your goals, no matter how hard you try. But it's 100% sure that you won't achieve them, if you just quit. You've got to look at all the small achievements you made and all the experiences that came along on your journey. In the end, that's what you can be proud of, no matter how far you got!

AKUMA ( B.Y.O.P. )

Meet my little house-demon Akuma, aka Broseph the 666th. Most of the time he's just hanging around in the corner of my couch, stoned as a rock. But lately he's been itching for a night out and cursing me for not taking him along.

I can take a good curse or 2, but I know better not to p**s off a demon - especially when sharing the same flat.

So I granted him one night out and Akuma instantly sent out news via his broadcast channel to all his f(r)iends on Grimstagram and Disgracebook. So if you were wondering why your plushie flatmates all of a sudden felt the urge to join tomorrow's rave, now you know.

On that note I'd like to ask you to give in to your little ones and bring along at least one, so Akuma doesn't feel like his fellas let him down!

Just in case some of you took it for a joke: we're dead serious! BRING YOUR OWN PLUSHIE!

DIRTY PLATES ( UTM Records / Banana Bass Music / Reflective Sounds / VOID Berlin )

Let me introduce myself. I fell in love with Drum and Bass in 2006 when friends took me out to my first DnB night at ACUD, a small underground location in the heart of Berlin. I got hooked to the music quite fast, but what I found to be most impressive was seeing a live drummer, a bass-guitar player and a MC performing this fast paced electronic music genre live on stage. After a while the trio, formerly known as Human Sampler, split up and out of it emerged a solo project which goes by the name STIXONSPEED. After watching his progress over the last 18 years, it’s a pleasure to have him headlining this very special event.

After I started mixing tunes myself in 2011, in 2015 VOID was the very first club I got to play at and, until this day, keeps supporting me with regular bookings, as well as the possibility to earn a little pocket money at the bar or the wardrobe. It’s possibly the one place I spent most of my time, no need to say that being there feels like home to me. And with home comes family!

This is why I’d like to invite all DnB-family members to the place I call home, to share our love and passion for the music that connects us. Looking forward to seeing many familiar, but also new faces of the fam and a night that will create unforgettable memories!

DJ KRAH ( Noisephere / VOID Berlin )

DJ Krah’s journey into the world of Drum & Bass began in 2015 with the opening of VOID Club. It was here that he encountered the deep, powerful basslines and intricate synthesizers that define the genre. Influenced by iconic artists such as Black Sun Empire, Neonlight, Agressor Bunx, and many others, he quickly became immersed in the sounds that would shape his musical identity.

In 2017, DJ Krah joined the collective "Sternhagel Kollektiv," where he helped organize a variety of events, including open-air raves and private parties. It was during this time that he played his first drum and bass set on New Year’s Eve 2017/18. Just a few months later, Marco secured his first official performance at VOID Club in Berlin, marking the beginning of his professional DJ career. By 2019, he had earned a residency at VOID, where his true journey as a DJ took flight. During this period, Marco’s exposure to other genres such as HiTech and Frenchcore inspired him to experiment with crossover mixing and further expand his musical range.

Marco’s journey is far from over. He continues to explore new sounds and genres, always seeking to innovate and evolve. Join him as he pushes the boundaries of electronic music and shares his ever-evolving journey with the world.

DARK ZENITH ( Banana Bass Music / UTM Family / Reflective Sounds )

Dark Zenith has been involved with drum & bass for more than a decade and was able to get to know many facets of this genre. This is exactly what is reflected in his sets that go across the genre, thereby focussing a fast and driving sound, old school vocals, and a deep and rolling bass.

Dark Zenith is part of the Leipzig based record label Banana Bass Music since 2019. Later followed by Urge to Move in Dresden and Reflective Sounds in Berlin.

In addition to being a DJ and showing interest in producing his own music, Dark Zenith is also passionate about photography and video editing. His skills in this form of art, combined with his love for music got him involved in many different projects for festivals and clubs after movies and stage photography.

UGLYDUB ( Live Drum & Bass )

Fast breaks, heavy synth basses and percussive violin action - UGLYDUB is a duo to watch, listen and freak out to.

Founded at the beginning of the decade, somewhere between 140 and 180 bpm, the musicians and Berliners-by-choice Judy Döhn and Helge Sorg combine their love for modern bass music with traditional instruments. On stage, they mix liquid and neuro Drum & Bass with intricate half-time passages, ALL WRAPPED UP IN A HIGH-ENERGY NON-STOP LIVE SHOW with the character of a DJ set.

Since the beginning of their live presence, the duo has been steadily expanding their fanbase and playing their way towards the top of the German DnB live acts on the stages of clubs and festivals. UGLYDUB are as exciting as Noisia with live drums and as experimental as a jazz combo on speed.
