In everyone's life there are events that knock you off your feet, events that are impossible to ignore. CIDE Talks is a project about change. What decisions lead us to change? And which ones on the contrary block these processes? We will try to answer these questions in a series of events where different people from all corners of the world will tell their stories of change and decisions!

on: Tucano Coffee: a great location with the best coffee in Berlin. Languages: English, Russian, German
(the language of the event will be determined by the speaker, look for a note in each announcement 🙂

I really liked Tom Chatfield’s idea (author of the book "Critical Thinking") that the most amazing thing about a presentation is its potential impact. That a short story can not only reach hundreds of thousands of people, it can also be the basis for thousands of conversations.

That is why in addition to speaker presentations and time for questions, we will be adding organised networking to each event so that guests can exchange ideas and get to know each other. We are now starting preparations for the first event. I would be very grateful for your support, I would love it if you would invite your friends and acquaintances who live in Berlin. If you would like to speak - be sure to write to me in private messages. If you know someone who has a story to tell - send them this post!

I believe that together we can create a space that we will want to come back to! A space where you can get inspired and motivated, make friends and look at familiar things and your place in the world in a new way.

You can change and be changed! You can do more than you think!

The ninth event of the CIDE Talks project will take place on May 29.

Zoya Skobeltsyna is an ICF certified coach, entrepreneur, speaker (TEDx, Skillbox and 1000+ public speaking engagements over the past 11 years), author of the “1000 Steps” telegram channel and the CIDE Talks project.

For the last two years, Zoya has been actively working with immigrants, helping them build life processes, introduce positive changes, dream, plan and achieve goals without burnout and anxiety.

Zoya will talk about how to harmoniously develop different areas of life, plan vacations, turn dreams into concrete actions and learn to “protect time” for tasks from the “important, but not urgent” category.

At the end of the event, Zoya will conduct a coaching analysis of one of the participants. If you're ready to get on stage and learn something new about yourself, welcome!

Guest moderator of the meeting: Oleg Hristolübskiy is a multidisciplinary artist, film director and producer.

Very warm and touching evening with Larisa Afanasieva, who inspired us by sharing her story, showing that starting over again in a new country is not only possible but can open new horizons. Her warmth and tremendous empathy brought to our hearts a dash of hope.

On November 24, the fourth event of the CIDE Talks project will take place at Tucano Coffee Berlin: How can you give children the opportunity to live a more interesting and successful life through creativity and inclusion?

Larisa Afanaseva is the director and artistic director of Upsala Circus - international project.

Upsala Circus is the only circus in the world where troubled teenagers learn circus arts and become real artists. The project shows by example how creativity can give children the opportunity to live a more interesting and successful life.
Upsala Circus was first created in St. Petersburg in 2000 and in 2022 another location has opened its doors in Germany.
Why does this crazy world need a circus? How can the circus influence life and the feeling of happiness? How can it be interesting for teenagers and children? How can it be not just a boring club, but a modern circus that goes beyond stereotypes?
Why did Upsala Circus come to be in the small German town of Zeitz? What has been accomplished in a year and a half? And what opportunities are there for the development and integration of a project in Germany and Europe?

Entrance is free, registration is required, donation ❤️.

On October 26, the third event of the CIDE Talks project will take place.

Irina Yakutenko is a biologist and science popularizer, author of the book "Will and self-control: how genes and the brain stop us from fighting temptation".

Life is impossible without change, and in order to change something, you need to make decisions: not just one big one, but many small daily ones, without which your global decision will remain an empty declaration. Unfortunately, a lot of people fail at one or both of these tasks. Why is it that time after time we fail to decide to make changes? Or we do decide for changes but in fact do nothing to make them a reality? Which mechanisms in our brain prevent us from taking the necessary actions and what can be done to overcome this problem? Biologist and popularizer of science, author of the book "Will and self-control: how genes and the brain prevent us from fighting temptation" Irina Yakutenko will answer all of these questions.

Entrance is free, registration is required, donation ❤️
