Levidian is a British climate technology firm and the company has recently been able to successfully install their patented LOOP technology in an excellent location.

This location is in Abu Dhabi, specifically, ADNOC Gas’ Habshan Gas Processing Plant.

The article below portrays an excellent development within the carbon capture industry, in which new equipment has been installed at a site which will optimise its use. This installation is one of the first to ever occur and so far it has been made clear just how important and impressive this development is.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced on 30 January an investment of $131 million to fund 33 R&D projects, targeting the widespread utilization of carbon management technology.

These projects will be instrumental in successfully capturing CO2 from power plants, industrial facilities, and even the atmosphere itself, DOE said in a statement.

DOE added that the expansion of CO2 storage sites and associated carbon management activities are likely to provide significant economic gains to local communities and their respective workers, with the long-term objective of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 as championed by President Biden.

“By deploying tools to capture, remove, and store CO2 emissions, we can dramatically reduce the air pollution harming our health and intensifying extreme weather events,” said U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm. “

"The projects announced today will get us closer to achieving our climate goals while helping to revitalize local economies and deliver environmental benefits to communities too often left behind.”
