2025 is here, and it's already packed with exciting events, at least five festivals showcasing the latest and most crushing sounds of the European underground metal scene. Let’s go through them chronologically:

1 - Odyssey to Blasphemy Festival
One of the festivals we’re involved with in terms of booking and support, Odyssey to Blasphemy has been a staple of the underground for years. Yet, it never fails to deliver a unique lineup, ensuring that every edition is worth the audience’s time and money. This year is no exception—Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult, Bewitched, Chaos Invocation, Venefixion, Sabathan (performing an old Enthroned set with a special guest on vocals—none other than Onielar of D.N.S.), and many more will take the stage for a weekend of total devastation.

2 - ACHERONTIC ARTS FESTIVAL IV
This festival is synonymous with quality over quantity, and the venue, Turbinenhalle, only adds to its majestic atmosphere. Featuring absolute powerhouses like Whoredom Rife, Darvaza, Nglfr, Sulphur Aeon, Zwielicht, and many more, Acherontic Arts is more than just a club fest - it’s a statement: Underground Metal deserves a proper stage.
April 11-12, 2025

3 - HOLE IN THE SVN FESTIVAL 2025
Probably one of the most diverse underground metal festivals out there, Hole in the Svn follows the philosophy of "All Killer, Zero Filler." It’s the brainchild of the H.I.T.S. Coven, of which Abyssal Booking is a part. This year’s lineup is absolutely unrelenting, a grand celebration of the underground, with 24 bands over 3 days in an open-air setting in central Germany.
Two important notes: One: Capacity is strictly limited to 700 to ensure an intense but not overcrowded atmosphere.

June 26-28, 2025

4 - Unholy Rite Awaits II
Back to Oberhausen - the epitome (or epitaph) of the Ruhr-area Metal scene - and this time will be no different. This edition will feature the "Desecrating Europa Tour Pt. I", with Whoredom Rife, Malakhim, and Halphas, alongside two UK bands, Master’s Call and Necro Ritual, both laying the foundation for the horrors that will follow.
November 28, 2025

5 - Celebrare Noctem Fest X
Reaching a 10th edition as a Black Metal festival is no small feat - it demands consistency, passion, and devotion to the craft. This year’s lineup includes Dark Sonority, the Desecrating Europa Tour Pt. I package, and many more. Expect an edition that will be one for the books.
December 5-6, 2025

Supporting these festivals is of utmost importance!
They are not just gatekeepers but flame keepers, torchbearers ensuring that this music has a stage, a voice, and a future. Without such events, underground Metal will wither, rot, and fade into nothingness.
