I‘m back in the Netherlands for a couple of days and posting my first official gig announcement in a VERY long time and I‘m more than hyped to say the least! 👽

As we spend most of our time at home we are delighted with DIEDE’s long and energetic SALON podcast. The founder of Nachtwerk. based in Amersfoort, is rapidly building his way as an artist. His talent is not only recognized in the Netherlands as he played his first international gig in 2019 in Seoul’s infamous club Faust.

Besides his development as a musician, he also puts a lot of time into training his spirit through meditation which is noticeable in the way he selects his tracks and constructs his sets. This well-sorted balance makes the podcast very comfortable for the mind and body.

One year ago I got the chance to hit the sweet spot at the infamous club Faust in Seoul, South Korea. A 2,5 hour set that, by the time, felt like 30 minutes. My first ever international gig and, without knowing at the time, this gig would be one of my last serious gigs before the whole world would shut down everything from clubs, festivals and bars to shopping streets, schools and gyms. In this past year I've made some serious improvements when it comes to mixing, track selection and style development, this all is due to a lot of practice, and a lot of digging deep. I'm looking back at this set from a point of view where I find myself to become more and more serious, dedicated and motivated to try and make a living out of this in the end.
For now enjoy this set, and let us all pray for better days to come when it comes to partying, travelling and social contact. ;)

Big thanks again to the Faust crew for this great opportunity and making me feel so comfortable and at home from the minute I walked in. Fingers crossed that we‘ll be able to see eachother again soon. 🖤

I uploaded this very set exactly 1 year ago. From that moment I have focused only on the hypnotic side of electronic music. Got rid of lounge and terrace gigs, didnt buy anymore disco records, didnt dig deep into housemusic, you name it.

From this point on things went uphill quite fast, did some pretty cool gigs the months after that. With two of the absolute highlights being: playing my first gig outside of NL in the infamous South Korean club Faust and becoming one of the talents who got the chance to rock the Solor stage at Soenda indoor 2020, and then.. Covid hit us like a bomb.

No more parties, no more sweaty clubnights, no more festivals, no more losing your phone, wallet and keys somewhere and finding them in the exact same spot where you left them 3 hours ago, no more meeting new people and being best friends for a night, no more togetherness at all.

This all lead to an interesting new way of working: online. Over the past year I did quite some livestreams and podcasts. For example the livestreams at DRLD, Quarantaine and Nachtwerk., but also podcasts for platforms like Spoken and Het Complot. I‘m massively grateful for the fact that I am still able to work my magic for others, even though it might not be a sweaty basement rave, or in a club with a sublime soundsystem, I‘m still thankful for the chances I‘ve had in the past year, and the new things that are about to come up.

1 month sober today!!
No alcohol nor drugs in my body since the 28th of september. I have used this period to get myself back into shape, do a lot of yoga, eat healthy, sleep good, dive deeper into music, learn a new language, read books and work on big plans for the future.
I haven‘t felt (and looked, lol) so good in a pretty long time, so it’s something i definitely recommend to all of you if you‘re not doing this every now and then already. I‘ll keep on doing this for longer than just this one month as i can really see this helping me to feel more comfortable in my body and soul, and to get a lot of s**t done aswel. Let‘s see what the future will bring!

My personal note to all of you:
Take care of yourselves in these crazy coronatimes, eat and drink healthy, do sports, see your friends and family a lot even though it might just be on facetime, or maybe from a distance, read informative books, take cold showers, listen and/or make music and most of all: be happy about yourself even though these are not the brightest times.
