Hey, I’m Svenja! I’ve been told I look ridiculous when I photograph because I’m smiling like a maniac without noticing.
I’m a daydreamer and a realist. If the music’s not right, I prefer silence.

Injustice really gets under my skin, and I admire people who dare to be different, stay open-minded, and are kind to others. I lose myself in the little details and treasure the quiet, in-between moments.
I have a habit of people-watching, imagining how their lives might be.

I love photography, but I also get to work on other creative projects - like designing graphics for corporate clients or creating podcast clips for a Swiss bank. Work has a way of grounding me. It’s my version of therapy.

Like most people, I doubt myself more often than not, but I’m learning to embrace it. What I’m most proud of is my little family and the crazy, beautiful life we share.

The weather had its own plans, but Emma & Max couldn’t stop smiling! That one rain shower during the ceremony? Totally made things feel extra cozy and special. I shot this gorgeous, intimate wedding a few weeks ago, and right before golden hour—boom—the skies cleared like it was all part of the plan!

No question about it: I love real emotions! During ceremony I am in full focus mode. Every moment, look and reaction is so important and I really don’t want to miss anything. I often even take off my shoes to be able to move quick and silently. I remember once I stood on a sun burning stone ground for way too long. I really only noticed afterwards because my feet were hurting for several days 😵‍💫. It didn’t matter though because I took the most beautiful shots. That’s passion right? 🤷‍♀️

ABOUT me

I started my journey as a wedding photographer & videographer 2014 when I filmed a friends wedding in Sydney. During the time I lived in Australia I became professional and filmed more than 20 weddings here. The wedding industry in Australia was incredibly inspiring because of unique and stunning locations, beautiful ceremony set ups and the creative people from all over the planet that I worked with. Since 2016 I am back to Europe living and traveling between Amsterdam and Mallorca. Next to general portrait & editorial photography I offer wedding, engagement & elopement photography and film. I have a passion for great shooting locations and know the paradise island Mallorca inside out. The greatest and most breath taking locations are yet to be photographed and I can’t wait to explore them together with my clients. I have a sensitive personality which allows me to emphasise with moments and people. I honestly only want to express authentic emotions. Although taking photographs can be intimidating I always invite my clients to feel this moment between each other. A moment not only to be remembered on a photo or video but to be remembered as this magical wonder that it is.
