Im Jahr 2009 zum Jahreswechsel startete der Bal Noire- der schwarze Ball der Gothic Industrial Party – als ein stilvoller Jahresausklang im Ambiente des Industriedenkmals Maschinenhaus (Gelände der Zeche Carl, Essen). Es gab mehrere restlos ausverkaufte gotischen Tanznächte als Produkti

on des Veranstalters DarkNights/Gothic-Industrial-Party.de. Mittlerweile hat leider der „schwarze Lifestyle“ seinen Zenit längst überschritten und auch die historische Gebäudehülle am Maschinenhaus steht leider nicht mehr zur Verfügung. Unter dem Label "Bal Noire" wird jetzt kreativ an einem gotischen Tanzball im entsprechenden Ambiente gearbeitet und andererseits eine Party als Ball-Nacht im audiovisuellen Gewand präsentiert.
