40 YEARS SINCE THE PREMIERE OF AMADEUS

Plán premiér filmu Amadeus byl ve své době poměrně sofistikovaný, zejména kvůli tehdejšímu distribučnímu systému. Např. diváctvo v Los Angeles svou premiéru zažilo 6. září, v New Yorku následně 12. září a zbytek USA 19. září 1984. Do projekcí v Evropě zasáhla i existence železné opony. Na exkluzivní fotografii tak nyní vidíte londýnskou premiéru 17. ledna 1985, zatímco na tu pražskou si Československo muselo počkat až do 1. srpna 1986. V té době už mělo Formanovo opus magnum na kontě mj. osm Oscarů. A kdy jste Amadea viděli poprvé v kině vy? Jaké jsou vaše vzpomínky?

The schedule of Amadeus premieres was quite sophisticated in its day, especially because of the distribution system of the time. For example, audiences in Los Angeles saw the film on September 6, followed by New York on September 12 and the rest of the US on September 19, 1984. Even the existence of the Iron Curtain had an impact on screenings in Europe. This exclusive photo shows the London premiere on 17 January 1985, while Czechoslovakia had to wait until 1 August 1986 for the Prague premiere. At that time, Forman's magnum opus had already won eight Oscars. And when did you see Amadeus for the first time in the cinema? What are your memories?
