2. Boat Ride to Los Haitises:
• As the boat glides through the waters, you’ll pass small islands and enjoy the refreshing sea breeze. The guide will introduce you to the park’s history and biodiversity. Keep an eye out for pelicans, frigate birds, and other native wildlife.
3. Exploring the Mangroves:
• Upon entering Los Haitises National Park, you’ll navigate through a labyrinth of mangrove forests. The intricate roots stretch into the water, creating a unique, otherworldly atmosphere. Mangroves are crucial to the local ecosystem, providing habitat for a variety of fish and birds. The calm and peaceful surroundings make this part of the tour especially serene.
