I keep coming back to portraiture.
Not for fancy reasons. Only because it’s personal.

When the background fades, when the expression softens, when the person in front of my camera forgets they’re being seen - that’s where the real magic lives.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about something real showing up.

These frames were shot on film -
Why? because film slows me down just enough to notice the quiet truths.

And in that slowing down the energy shifts?
And more often than not the person/couple in front of me feels it too.

That’s when the space opens… and something real unfolds.

Unscripted moments. Eternal stories.

In over a decade of photographing life’s most meaningful celebrations, I’ve only been asked to document a baptism twice. And both happened this year - just months apart. Maybe it’s just a coincidence.

So I was not sure what to expect or how I would approach these but I am so glad I took on the challenge, also I have always loved photographing kids - so I figured I would manage.

There’s something sacred in preserving the fleeting expressions, the tenderness of a parent’s embrace, and the quiet poetry of a child discovering the world.

I’m proud of this series. Of its softness, its grace, and the way it holds both beauty and truth. These images were made on film - intentionally slow, intentionally human. Intentionally imperfect. Like memory itself.

but the walk to get there.
The voices, the glances, the hands fixing a veil or carrying a bouquet.
The child picking up the train.
This is where presence lives.
And this is where memory stays.
