Your children are not your children
They are the sons and daughters of life’s longing for itself
They come through you but not from you

Right now my journey is about me.

This is the season where life is challenging me to be my own savior, to be my own safe place. Right now life is reminding me that the people who walked away have only brought me back to myself.

And here, I am okay.
Here, I am rebuilding myself.
Here, I am adjusting, and fixing.
Here, I am being kinder to my soul, giving myself the same kind of love I have given to others before.

Here, I am not rushing my heart, not depending on another human being to fix it.

Instead, here, I am doing great and on my own.

Here, I am healing.
