Do you love color but aren’t sure how to incorporate it into your wedding florals? Are you choosing a more “safe” color palette because you think it’s the only way to not date your wedding day?
Whether it’s full floral color or pops here and there, seasonal hues will always be a good idea when done right. Try to ask for some neutral tones mixed throughout to help blend the colors and soften it. Or ask for pops of the color you love the most and leave the rest softer.

Whether you are a home gardener, someone who just loves being around flowers or a budding floral designer - this workshop is for you. I will provide hands on instruction, all materials and design knowledge needed for you to make something you love.
Worried you won’t be able to recreate a design when you are home? No worries! You will be sent home with a design card giving you all the pointers that will surely inspire you to grab your snips and make something beautiful.
We will be using spring blooms like double tulips, grape hyacinth, hellebores, fancy narcissus and more.

I’m Lindsey, owner of Indigo Blooms. I’ve been in business since 2019 where I started to grow cut flowers and fell hard for the event world.
I’m a Sagittarius with a serious love affair for peonies, garden roses, wine, coffee, pottery, animals and the outdoors. I gather a lot of inspiration from hikes with my black lab, Marley. The way branches arch and composition of the terrain all help shape my natural approach to floral design.
I have three kids (14,10,5) that keep me ubering, cheering and snack supplying on a daily basis. Owning my own business gives me the much needed flexibility to do the mom things … and grocery shop… a lot… which I’m doing after this post.. 🫠

Do it! But understand you may need to hire extra hands like a lighting/rigging company to property secure hanging items.
We love that tents are airy and light, but you can’t go wrong with adding one.. or two high impact focal points to help bring your eyes upward and fill a little voided space.

Before you know it spring will be here along with our spring weddings… And I can’t wait!
May and June are the best flower months to get married (IMO) with all the local goodies. Ranunculus, anemone, spirea branches, poppies, foxglove… I could go on and on.
If you’re getting married in 2025 and haven’t picked a date yet, consider spring!

Locally grown seasonal flowers get me every time… in fact I rely on them!
Always sourcing local first from the for the freshest flowers, best color palettes and natural wiggly stems.
Having started my business with farming/growing and transitioning to mostly design work, I’m very in tune with seasonality and when specific blooms should be available. I still grow some special varieties, especially those with a very short base life but are oh so good for design— I’m looking at you cosmos.

I forgot the centerpieces…..
A few nights ago I had a dream that I ran out of time designing during the week and had planned on making the centerpieces on site the day of the wedding. 🫠 Talk about sweating in your sleep!
Thankful it was just a dream, I mean nightmare and not for real. 😆
I bet other event professionals have had similar dreams like photographers forgetting their camera and batteries not working. Event planners have no staff or a hurricane take out the whole wedding. Yikes!
Working in the event industry with a perishable product certainly has challenges, which is why my winters are spent making lists, ordering supplies, making more lists, making excel sheets, lining up freelance help…… it’s a necessary process to make sure your event runs smoothly.
And don’t worry, I would never save the centerpiece for the day of the wedding!
