Ximo Puig is going to announce changes in the measures and restrictions in force to stop the expansion of the coronavirus in the Valencian Community. The purpose of the Generalitat Valencia has become clear this week in the different meetings that have been held with sectors affected by the current regulations and it is already known that in hospitality and sports the restrictions will be notably relaxed. The president of the Consell and a group of councilors of the Valencian government meet this Thursday to specify the measures that will be in force as of March 1 in the Valencian Community .
The situation has improved notably in the hospitals and health centres of the provinces of Valencia, Alicante and Castellón since two weeks ago the Generalitat announced a new extension of the measures currently applied. Mainly, the hotel business is completely closed and all Valencian cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants are closed on weekends and holidays , as well as the prohibition of holding social gatherings between people who do not live together within the private sphere.
In mid-February, after the last extension, the President of the Generalitat detailed the master lines of the de-escalation in the Region , as for weeks the trend has been positive regarding the incidence, although the Consell chose to extend the restrictions for finish reducing the presence of Covid-19 in Valencia, Alicante and Castellón . During this week, different meetings have been held between the main sectors affected by the current restrictions with the Generalitat Valenciana to agree and measure a flexibility of the measures that does not put the health system at risk again and generates a fourth wave of infections .

There, the president Ximo Puig and representatives of the Consell such as the vice presidents Mónica Oltra and Rubén Martínez Dalmau , as well as the ministers Ana Barceló, Gabriela Bravo and Vicent Marzà , among others, will certify the measures that will be in force from Monday, as well as the extension of some of the current ones. After the meeting, a press appearance will be held by Ximo Puig to announce the new de-escalation measures in the Region.
Changes
In the meetings this week it has been agreed that the activity will return to the hospitality industry by allowing service on the terraces with months in which up to six people can sit . For now, the exact schedule that bars and restaurants must meet is unknown, as well as whether the diners allowed must come from a same nucleus of conviviality or the union of several families will be allowed.

In sports practice, modifications have already been announced with respect to the current situation. The Generalitat is going to allow physical activity to return to sports centres that are outdoors, so gyms and indoor sports centres must remain closed for at least 15 more days .
Another point that at least " is on the table " for this Thursday's meeting is to put an end to the perimeter closure of the 16 municipalities from which it has not been possible to enter or leave during weekends and holidays . Ximo Puig confirmed this week that this option will be valued and that if it enters into force it would already be for the first weekend of March. By contrast, this Wednesday it was known that the Generalitat is studying opening the Region at the beginning of April to tourists with reservation .

But in addition to these three options that will be discussed at the meeting held this Thursday at the Palau de la Generalitat there is a series of current measures on which nothing has been commented on by the Consell during this week.

The curfew is currently set between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. No business can open its doors between this strip in which traffic on public roads is strictly prohibited as long as it does not meet any of the exceptions included in the law.
Attentive to that schedule are the merchants of the Valencian Community, who this week have requested that the schedule set at 6:00 p.m. for the stores considered non-essential to close can be extended until 8:00 p.m. starting this Monday. On the part of the Consell there has been no communication whatsoever regarding this possibility.
A maximum of six people may meet at the table on the terrace of a bar or restaurant, but it is unknown if this flexibility will mean that social gatherings are allowed , at least in public places.
