Have you planned your weekend yet?

Sunday, November 26th, a date of a scrumptious Foodie Event in Colmenar: “El Dia del Mosto y la Chacina”, (grape juice and cold meat).

Big celebration day for Colmenar (a location known as the “pantry” of Malaga province) where the visitor can sample gorgeous juices and local traditional dishes while enjoying an extensive program of activities.

As we say in Spain, food and drink “for licking your fingers”.

Talking about Cerveza Victoria is talking about Malaga culture.

With almost 100 years of life, operating since 1928, Cerveza Victoria tells us a story full of setbacks and continuous improvement.

To learn more about its history and flavours, the factory offers guided tours and tastings.

A very Malagueña and exquisite experience! 🍻

Compared to some cow's milk cheeses, goat cheese has double the protein and only half of the fat per ounce!

It also contains vitamins and minerals to maintain you brain and body strong!

There are lots of varieties: soft, cured, spiced with herbs, with olive oil… plenty options for every palate.

Have you found your one yet? In Malaga you might fall in love with your one!

¿Paella or not paella? To avoid confusion, we can just call it: "el Arró"

"Arró con Cosas" (=Rice, with things): Yellow rice in which nearly every combination of "things" works to obtain a taste of heaven.

For many people in Málaga, “el arró”, is the star dish for a perfect Sunday meal.

We love it too any day of the week! This Tuesday, we feel like seafood.

🥘Highly recommended: use of fresh & local produce; eat without being rushed, just savouring every moment.

What does the signpost say? Tiny writing, I know!
It says: "Bird Observatory at 190m"

Where is it exactly? This is one of the wonderful walking paths found at the Concepcion Forest Park (right behind the Botanic Gardens with the same name)

To spend an autumny and malagueño day out, this is your spot!

La Melonera is the name of a winery in the Ronda area and also of a variety of grapes native to Malaga.

After the devastating phylloxera plague (late 19th century), this grape became practically extinct.

Today, thanks to the research work of the winery team, they have been able to revive it and as a sample, they leave us this distinctive wine, Yo Solo, with vibrant aromatic notes and a silky palate.

Well, this Sunday, the 12th of November, La Feria del Jamón of Campillos celebrates its 15th edition!!

This “feast event” is one of the most popular foodie events in Malaga province.
In 2010, it was declared “Provincial Tourist Singularity Festival”.

There, you will find over 50 stalls dedicated to pork but also to cheese, olive oil, salted meats and local organic products.

Foodie markets help to maintain the essence of authenticity & local feel of the cities. They help to preserve the distinctive character of the traditional neighbourhoods.

Today, at Mercado de Bailen, we got to meet the team behind the new stall, “Ni te Cortes”, the great Tito and Antonio Muti, who are coming strong to shake up the market!

Great selection of charcuterie, cheeses and other delicatessen.
Great malagueños too (one of them born in Italy, but still has big malagueño soul!)

Thank you for your hospitality amigos!

"For breakfast, or at any time snack: Chocolate con churros, please!"

Delicious culinary tradition all over Spain. At Málaga city centre, we love the ones made at café, since 1932!

It seems easy to make, but it´s not! They look tasty... and they really are!
