Wrap up of 2 amazing days at !
Going without an agenda was the best thing I could do, as I really felt I made the most out of it, especially when it comes to organic networking!!
As always, the biggest asset in all events and moments in our life are the people we meet.

Fine Peopleling is a real thing!!

Just as fine dining, fine traveling or fine drinking, the people we decide to surrender ourselves and to share our time, energy and feelings with, become a part of ourselves.

This is just a small selection of people that have participated along the years to making me the person I become today and keep on transforming daily.

No special ocasion, just wanted to take this day to thank all people who teach me, who make me reflect, who make me question, who make me search, who make me stop and relax, who motivate me, who make me laugh, who make me want to start over and over, who make me see there is more to discover, who show me life is an ongoing growing path in all its dimensions.

How does Inspirational Marketing and Mice Marketing get along?

Is there a true connection or are they incompatible?

For B2C market, inspirational marketing is a must as you need to influence feelings, emotions and aspirations.

But, is it the same in B2B market, especially in the MICE Industry?

We all know that inspiration is key in all marketing strategy, no matter the audience.

🧐But is this enough for ?

We believe event professionals and decision makers need more than their emotions and feelings to be stimulated. They need specific details, they need to visualize the product and understand its suitability for their specific needs, they need to feel reliability and expertise.

This is why, MICE marketing is different and needs a different approach and the use of the specific language speak.

Inspirational Marketing can be the pink puffy donut you can fantasize with, but MICE marketing needs to be the real fresh and consistent donut you can taste first!

We are joining the metaverse, but somehow the MICE destination marketing is still so behind in online strategy and digital tools.

So many opportunities on the market and still, suppliers and destinations are not embracing them and continue to keep their MICE marketing strategy and budget for offline actions only, like attending the industry events…and believe this is enough or the best they can do.

What inspires you? Is it a place? Is it a thing? Is it a time or moment? Is it a person? Is it an action?

What makes your mind click and see that new perspective or focus of things?

Along the years I have heard about many wierd places and actions that stimulate inspiration as they take our mind into a dimension where it feels like blooming.

I personally get the best ideas while I shower and close to the sea (don’t ask why, I have no clue…it must be someting to do with the water probably 😅).

But as I always said, I am much better at geeting inspired than being creative, my creativity needs a starting point to bloom.

And that starting point are usually special people that I resonate with and just motivate and inspire me.

It all starts with meeting or listening to someone interesting in order to get hit by the inspiration later in the shower 😂

This morning I had a very pleasant, cozy and inspiring chat with my non-official mentor that managed to make me gain clarity on some issues I have been struggling with for a while.

So, thank you again Sabrina for being there as my friend and my personal and professional inspiration. ♥️

I should probably hurry to the shower or to the beach now to finish visualizing the ideas I got this morning 😂

This photo has a special meaning for most Easter Europeans, but it is not known in the rest of the world. So here is the story behind it:

This is called “Martisor” in Romanian and it has similar names in other Eastern European Countries.

This is a small detail that is offered to women on the 1st of March in this part of the world as we celebrate the first spring day today and this is a way of wishing health, love and happiness in the new year to come.

It can be weared pinned to your clothes or as a bracelet until end of March.

Even though I have been living in Spain for the last 17 years, my mom sends me Martisor every year and this is one of the traditions I most value and enjoy from my cultural background.

The origins of this tradition are very ancient, dating back in the Roman Empire, where New Year’s Eve was celebrated on March 1st, as the month was called in honor of the God of Mars.

Mars was the God of war and an agricultural guardian, who ensured the nature’s rebirth. Therefore the red and white colors of the string may be explained as colors the war and peace.

Somehow, this year, I feel Martisor has an even more special meaning in the current situation of Eastern Europe.❤️‍🩹

So, I would like to send a virtual Martisor to all women, as a symbol of my support and solidarity to what they are passing through, with the hope that the nightmare they are living will be over soon and peace will be restored in all our countries, as a new spring in all our hearts!

Thinking. is it overrated or underrated?

What do you think?

Today is thinking international day and I would like to celebrate the balance between overthinking and under thinking.

Everything starts with a thought and people who know me are aware in my case it is never just one thought 🤪, most of the time there is an ongoing storm of thoughts up there.

I am not sure, but I would say this is in part due to the multitasking and professional daily work of an , as you train these skills daily in this industry.

But recently I learned the importance of understanding we are not our thoughts and we need to be the one in control, not the other way around.

Because this is probably the most important thing that each of us can bring to any table we sit at.

Both in our professional and personal lives, nothing makes sense if it’s not done with love.

And if you also have the chance to share your passion or your profession with the person you love, than there is nothing that can stop you as the energy is incredible! 🥰

Once again: leisure destinations are not rules free!!

After all these year, it is still surprising to listen to ideas like:

“We would love to set up a pop up surprise dinner in Ibiza watching Es Vedra by sunset from that famous watching spot”

Yes, we can agree this is an incredible experience, but you can’t monopolize it for your event.

Public spaces are public, as their name says and cannot be privatized just like that on any request…because in this case, they wouldn’t be public anymore!! And besides they would be ruined!!

There is a concept called “a destination’s carrying capacity” which is used to monitor and maintain the balance when exploiting a destination and should be considered always.

Events have a massive impact on a destination so the ones that are in charge of planning should be the first ones in considering this!

Let’s stop treating leisure destinations as no man’s land!
