The management members of the Youth and Sports Bureau have thoroughly reviewed the report showing the status of the voluntary service of the youth during the summer months.
In 13 different areas of voluntary service, the management evaluated the activities of the sector offices, zones and special districts of the region in terms of their plans.
In accordance with the 1.49 billion birr plan set to save the cost of this voluntary service from the government and the society, the management observed that the cost was avoided in a certain way by carrying out charity work costing 1.17 billion birr.
On the other hand, it is planned to do 5 million 892 thousand 184 voluntary works that will benefit the society, and the report states that the current work process has exceeded the plan.
Volunteer youths have been able to deploy one million 824 thousand 804 youths in the good work in an organized way to involve youths in an organized way so that they can use their time, energy and knowledge for the peace, security, development and prosperity of the society and for universal change.
Tesfaye Blatu, Head of the Regional Youth and Sports Bureau, said during the evaluation that organized leadership, integrated support and monitoring, the adoption of a consistent evaluation system, the participation of stakeholders and the focus of the work played a positive role in achieving better results.
