We have been really busy at our summerjob In Keltainen talo.

We have 4 More weeks to go and finally today we took the supboards to the river and just let the stream guide us. It was amazing!

Ihana uusi tuttavuus tuo freekeh, idän savustettu vihreä vehnä. Uunipolenta oli herkkua. Ram pyöräytti taas sellaiset tahinit, että melkein oli nuoltu astia😂

Ihanaa luomisen iloa! Täällä alkaa ajatus pikkuhiljaa kääntymään kesää kohti ja Keltaista taloa. Käyhän tykkäämässä sen sivuista, niin saat tietoa kesän upeista buffeista. Buffat aina viikonloppuisin koko kesäkauden ajan .

Hauskaa Vappua kaikille!
Tässä herkullinen tahna vaikkapa leivän kanssa tai vappupäivän brunssille.

Aurinkoinen tomaattitahna
3 perus chiliä
2 valkosipulin kynttä
1/4 dl omenaviinietikkaa
1 tlk aurinkokuivattuja tomaatteja liemineen
1 pkt maustamatonta tuorejuustoa
1 dl paahdettuja auringonkukan siemeniä
1/4 dl oliiviöljyä
1/2 nippua tuoretta basilikaa
1 tl suolaa
1rkl tummaa sokeria
Mustapippuria

Kaikki vaan blenderiin ja soseeksi. Anna maustua jääkaapissa muutama tunti.
Ai että on hyvää!!

Meillä syödään lyttypottusalaattia, marinoituja oliiveja ja sitruunaista kanaa tämän tahnan kera.

During our travel in Europe we had some amazing food. Served by the youngest son of a family that run that restaurant,we had Squid ink pasta! It took a little while to get used to it, but you could really taste the sea🌊
Another memorable moment was winetasting at a winery in Croatia. We were just overwhelmed about it, since neither of us had not experienced anything like it before.

Once in a lifetime, hell yeah, why not!!

We bought olive oil from the farm, and tasted some really spicy oils too.

Wild herbs were growing everywhere☘️It was such a bountyfull experience, its hard to explain.
Lemontrees. Figtrees. Orangetrees. Almondtrees. You name it, they were everywhere!

Today we arrived in Vienna. What else can you eat here, but Wiener schnizel with some local pumpkinseed oil. It was a treat after a looooong drive through the mad Polish highways.

Christmas order from Feel vivid arrived just on time. Buckwheat, coconut, apricots, seeds etc.
Warm recommendation to this company if you need big amounts!

Also got some new inspiration to cooking with this new arrival. Indonesian cooking looks so inspiring. Reading these books is like going on a small journey💫

Viime viikolla olin inspiroitumassa ihanan Villa Christinen keittiössä. Minut otettiin vastaan lämpimästi ja sain monenlaista sielun ja hengen ruokaa. Välillä on käytävä katsomassa mitä muut kokkaa ja miten. Talon kokki Annamari taiteilee sydämellä upeita ruokia. Niin kiitollinen olo🙏🌀🙏

Mustaa kardemummaa(savustettu!),keittobanaaneja, banaanisipsejä, Sal de Cusano(savustetuista madoista tehtyä suolaa!!) ja hot mama kurkku😂(joo,oli ihan pakko ostaa!)Kyllä on taas inspistä kerrakseen kun käy Hesassa mausteostoksilla.
Ihanaa kun on serkku joka vie ruokamatkalle!
Ja vielä lounas ravintola Lohtussa. Ihan parasta pitkään aikaan.

Black smoked cardamon,cooking bananas, salt made of smoked worms(!!) and hot mama cucumber. What else does one need to get inspired?!

Last weeks have been busy😅
Catering lunch for 75 people, cooking at our harvest brunch in Keltainen talo in Janakkala and catering at the retreat in Huikon kartano for 4 days.

Seitan has become one of our favourite dishes, its a bit of an effort, but well worth it!
Roasted cellery was made into snitzels and they were sooo delicious. Pumpkin jam was served one day with paratha pancakes for breakfast.

It brought someone to tears, bringing her back into childhood memories. Food has such empowering effect🩷

We ordered organic vegetables from Kiipula gardens and they were amazing quality. Makes wonders to cook with local products. Then of course we support the ethnic stores, Sun Market and Alanya Market. It always feels so special to go there☀️A bit of sunshine.

Many busy days in Knipnäs cooking for jooga retreat.
