Torque Atelier with UNESCO
This was a fun project 🧘♀️ and here is our "thank you" message to the awesome team at Greenhouse Coworking.
"We thank you for accommodating our needs for the Resiliart Oceania Weaving Webinar Series which was the first of its kind in the Pacific region, but just one out of 300+ sessions conducted throughout the world in over 115 countries and reaching over 1.1 milion people online (and counting).
What we predicted would be 2 fast paced, high-activity webinars turned out to be just that, and your hospitality in rooming us for over 5 hours, despite the webinars being 90 minutes each, led to the successful delivery of our sessions hosted out of Nursery 1.
Torque Atelier in partnership with Unesco_pacific launched this #ResiliArt movement in #Fiji, for artists and cultural professionals from the #Pacific discussing resilience in the face of the global pandemic and shed light on its far-reaching impact on the cultural sector.
We managed to cover pressing issues affecting the livelihoods of cultural professionals, including social and economic rights of artists, the value of associations, funding & development, copyright protection, digitization of content and freedom of expression and much more. These issues deserved airtime and will contribute to a bigger political and social discussion to occur in Mexico later this year, which will eventually shape the world of culture and arts after the crisis.
We want to point out, how much of a part GHC played in this and we're grateful to the assistance you offered from your very flexible hybrid working space, to super helpful IT support, yummy coffee and friendly staff. We will highly recommend your co-working space within our network.
Torque Atelier will return." 😍
