What does a celebrant's ceremony look like?!

It was my turn to be a bride a few weeks ago! And the ceremony was something that will be etched in my/our memory for so long as we live!

It was a tall ask to get our friends and family out of bed for a 5:30am start, but it was worth it!

Two of our best friends took on the role of celebrants for the morning. The vibe was 'Sun Gods' and I think you'll agree, that they smashed the brief!

They told our story, we spoke our vows, we were led through a guided meditation, and when we all opened our eyes, the sun came up bathing us with it's beauty and warmth as our chosen song came on (I Will Wait, Mumford and Sons) and we all lifted our arms and sang for all to hear! To the dawn of a new day and a new beginning for Matt and I!

It was magic.

Congratulation to E & C! It was a perfect Cote d'Azur day! A beautiful ceremony that told their story, included a handfasting ritual and a prayer spoken by a family member, and some beautifully written vows which you both delivered wonderfully 😊

As my own wedding day gets closer, someone asked me if i was going to have a bouquet? Flowers and weddings are so synonymous today, but I got to wondering...where does that tradition come from? Beautiful walk, then...what? But the history is interesting! From ancient symbols to Victorian love language, and yes, a touch of medieval practicality! 😅 Flowers have always meant more than just beauty. Here's a peek at what I've learned! ✨

Kicking off a series of my favorite moments from this year’s wedding season! 🥂

This beautiful couple tied the knot at the stunning Château Saint-Jeannet. Their relaxed and stylish wedding was even blessed by a curious butterfly that landed on the bride’s veil as they signed the certificate! 🦋 (You can just see it in pic 3!)

And let’s not forget the unique wine-blending ceremony - a perfect touch for a French celebration.

A celebrants 'office' changes weekly, and I'm lucky enough to live in an area with countless beautiful venues I get to visit 💞 here I am at château Eza, in Eze for a beautifully intimate wedding earlier this week. Well done for bringing it all together and wishing D & S a lifetime of happiness and adventures ✨
