We are cooking Indian today. Iain had the BBQ on for the chicken. I took a hot coal, dropped it into a little pot of ghee then nestled it into the veggie curry, putting the lid on for a couple of minutes. The coal smokes like crazy, but actually just adds a subtle smoky flavour to the aubergine and chickpea curry.

This was a fun menu we did yesterday. Tex Mex style canapes

We cooked a vegetable biryani in class today, using courgette from the garden with bell peppers, tomatoes and red onions. Totally delicious! The basmati was par cooked with fragrant spices before going in the oven and every grain of rice was separate.

FULLY BOOKED - extra date added 13th June
Curry night, 20 June!
The lovely guys at JJ le Moulin Monbahus are letting us take over their kitchen. We are cooking a 3 course Indian menu, there are limited places so booking is essential. On the menu we have a starter of poppadoms and our home made chutneys, a veggie samosa and Bhel Puri, the refreshing Indian snack.
For the main course choose from Chicken Shashlik, which is marinated chunks of chicken breast, cooked over coal with peppers, onions and tomato served with our Shashlik sauce, salad and naan.
We have a Goan pork and potato curry, which is a tomato based dish with plenty of spice and tamarind, served with rice and naan.
For the vegetarians we have a tadka dal, we use channa dal and flavour it with tomatoes, curry leaves, chilli and ginger. Served with rice and naan.
The dessert is a little home made mango and cardamom kulfi.

We fired up the tandoor last night. Tandoori chicken, chicken shashlik with a spicy sauce and naan. Iain made the tandoor using a metal bin and terracotta pots, photo at the end. It gets raging hot, cooks chicken legs really fast so they stay nice and juicy.

We are getting enquiries for summer catering, so here is our menu. For those that don't know us, we make everything ourselves, from the spice rubs to the sauces, we grow a lot of our own produce too. We live in Miramont and will travel 30 minutes, we serve our food buffet style, there is lots of it, great for parties.
