Hello Little Hippies 💓

This page is no longer checked so I have missed so many messages (sorry!). I am no longer doing Bell Tents but I know Gemma at Under the Teepee is and I can’t recommend her enough. She’s the OG tent wifey!

I’m busy with my boys, dogs, work and doing training in Aesthetics which I know I spoke about all the time during tent set ups. Well I’m doing it!

I may come back with the tents one summer soon (probably will 💥) but for now they’re in retirement.

I’m not sure if anyone will see this, we have been gone for a while - but thank you so much for all of your follows, friendship and support shown. I think a lot of you met our babies (now 3 + 4) before some family members during that covid summer of 2020.

We got married! When I went to collect our marriage certificate, it was a past customer who was the registrar 🥰🫶🏼

It was a perfect day made all the more perfect by our lovely suppliers 🤍. 2023 will be a scaled back year for us as I’m back to my day job (nurse hat is back on but I can still chuck up a bell tent!). Frankie still requires some extra care with his lung condition and life is generally a little hectic.
However, our tents WILL be available from Spring and over the summer. We’ll share more about that soon. 💫

Although those lockdowns seem like a distant memory, I ask that you please still support your wee local businesses. The families behind these fb pages you see popping up on your newsfeeds appreciate it so much!

GAMER 🎮 we set up a gaming tent for a returning customer a few weeks ago. It was soo nice to catch up, and have a yap. And also to set up this tent for Nicolas boys!
There’s also nothing like setting up a bell tent in hot weather to remind you how unfit you are 🫠🤣!

We have been super quiet as we just haven’t had the time to take on bookings unfortunately. That made our set up today extra special, we loved it! We are going to have a wee shuffle around with Little Hippie. It’s come to the point that I’m unable to run it myself, in the way that I’d want to. I’ve always said if I was unable to take bookings and set my tents up as pretty as they should be set up.. for you, the customer… then I’d have to stop. Today I did the set up with my very best friend Maggie, who is so keen to become a Bell Tent setter upper. She’s a dab hand with a dettol wipe, table maker and broom 😄.

🌟 So it looks like Little Hippie could be back, just with an added new face and some new ideas. 🌟

We have a couple of bookings this year that we can’t wait to set up for. (we can’t wait to meet you!). If I’m unable to help you, I can point you in the direction of some fab companies so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We have two 1 year olds! For another week anyway 😄.

Rebecca RM Eventz made us some Toy Story themed balloons with backdrop. They were ACE! She sat with us on Friday night and explained how to set everything up on the day. So basically we didn’t really stick to the instructions because balloons are really difficult. Please respect your balloon people, hats off to you Rebecca 🤣♥️.

P J S Events sorted us out with some soft play and a bouncy castle. Frankie & Teddy were the first to use it, ever! And it was ACE! You guys are always so professional and kind. Thank you. ♥️

Thank you for the Toy Story pop ups. They were amazing and Frankie wanted to cuddle Woody, forever! 🥰

We have been really touched to hear about a local family who are having an immensely difficult time. Aimin Elmegirab was diagnosed with Lung cancer last year, this has been a massive shock to his family. His family and friends are now raising money to help ensure some quality of life for Aimin, his partner and young daughter.

We would like to raffle a 4 night hire of a Helsinki hot tub and Gazebo. With fairy lights of course! This hot tub hire can be used from the beginning of July - end of August (summer hols 🌞).
We can only cover Aberdeen City for this prize - Portlethen, Newtonhill, Stonehaven, Westhill and Inverurie also. Apologies. We must have access to water and electricity. We cannot use extension cables, the hot tub cables are 7m long. So please bare all of this in mind before choosing a number.

Today Trodelvy received its license for use. However, pharmaceutical company Gilead Sciences failed to reach an agreement with NHS England to provide the drug free-of-charge to eligible patients, ahead of a decision on routine NHS access next year. Reacting to this disappointing news, our CEO Delyth Morgan said:

'The tragic reality is that despite today’s licensing of Trodelvy, women with incurable triple negative secondary breast cancer may now face an agonising wait of up to eight months to access this exciting new treatment that they so desperately need – and for many this will be too late.

'These women are paying the ultimate price for drug company Gilead’s failure to reach an agreement with NHS England which could have seen eligible patients accessing Trodelvy free-of-charge on the NHS from today, ahead of a decision around its routine use in 2022. This is a bitter pill to swallow. Just as both Amgen and AstraZeneca recently used the process in place to make this happen for lung cancer patients, Gilead must do the same for breast cancer.

'Gilead’s proposed pre-reimbursement access scheme falls alarmingly short of what’s needed and will not guarantee all eligible women access to Trodelvy. These women don’t have time to wait. Gilead must urgently do the right thing by reaching an agreement with NHS England so that all eligible women are granted access to Trodelvy without delay; until then with every extra day that goes by there will be women who heartbreakingly are denied the chance of more time to live.'

We will keep campaigning until Gilead does the right thing and reaches an agreement with NHS England so that all eligible women are granted access to Trodelvy as soon as possible.
