Nearly 40 years since I became Jennyanydots. And it is time to pack away the puppets and the magic tricks. I have retired. Thank you to all the wonderful children who shared their special day with me. I have had so much fun. Now on to my next adventure.

This Saturday, 4th August, I will be entertaining children at Brecon Agricultural Show. See you all there. It's a great community show and the oldest in Wales, so they tell me. I love going there.

Spent this glorious day at the very interesting Cadw site, Blaenavon Ironworks. There was WW1 re enactor group. Great family day. I'm there again tomorrow.

Beautiful Days Festival. Great fun in the kids' tent. Wonderful to see my entertainment friends and see their kids growing up. Val, as usual, was wonderfully supportive. The event wouldn't be the same without her. Heard some lovely music too ad the Main Stage events could be heard from the comfort of our tent.

Working at the Burning Lantern Fayre in the Cockpit at St Fagans Museum. It was great but exhausting as I did 4 shows in 4 hours with balloon modelling.

Blackwood Beach Party was a great success this weekend. The weather was glorious and the 'beach' (sand along the High Street) was crowded. I did 9 shows in all and made lots of balloon models. The event was buzzing. Fantastic! Well done to the organisers, Caerphilly CBC.

I have just had this email from a party I did on Sunday. It is so lovely that I wanted to share it. 'I just wanted to thank you for an amazing party you did for Suzie & Emma's birthday party. You had all the children's attention the whole of the party. My daughters could not stop talking about you afterwards. All the parents said it was the best party they had been to so calm and the children were entertained the whole 2 hours. This was due to your superb show.
We will definitely recommend you to other parents.'

August 19th - 21st I will be at the Beautiful Days Festival - a real family affair. I will be working in the children's tent - and sleeping in a tent belonging to my friend Val (many thanks, Val). On Bank Holiday Monday you can see me at Llandrindod Victorian Festival - and then the summer will be over. :(

This weekend I was making balloon models at Pugfest International in Cardiff. So many pugs - and many sporting outfits as proudly as peacocks.

Last weekend I was performing with Punch and Judy and making balloon models at Brecon Agricultural show - apparently one of the oldest in the country, but a vibrant event, blessed this year with sunny weather.

This weekend I will be at Blackwood beach party. The sand will be on the street with deck chairs for adults, buckets and spades for the tinies. The High Street will be closed to traffic and filled with stalls and funfair. Cross fingers the weather will be fine, but, rain or shine, it is always a good day. I will be there with Punch and Judy.

There are lots of theme parties around - some of the ones I have done are cowboy parties, pirate parties, fairy parties, strictly dancing parties for slightly older girls, Peter Pan parties and princess parties. Although I haven't done a Frozen party yet I love the film and am just hoping someone will ask me!

Just before I went away a school asked me to do a party to prepare for their term project. could I include witches, wizrds, magic spells.... So I put something together where I dressed as an apprentice witch, received a spell book from a wizard (one of my puppets), did some science magic as well as some of the magic from my shows. all the words for the spells were in rhyme or involved Welsh. Then a witch (another puppet) stole the words from the spell book. Now the children have agreed to write me a new spell book. I said I would go back (no charge) to see thier results.

Just been at Bargoed for the Christmas Fayre. The two roaming chimney sweeps were great fun and I did a lot of short Punch and Judy shows as it didn't stop raining all day.

I am back from working on the cruise ship now and straight in to entertaining at parties. I am thrilled to have just taken a booking for a 'Fairy' party. It is some time since I did one of those and won't be wearing the old costume. But I still have the dress and the wings to make a good stab at being a little girl's 'fairy godmother'.

This weekend, The Beautiful Days Festival. Next Saturday 29th August Merlins Walk Shopping Centre in Camarthen. Punch and Judy are certainly getting around. If you are in Camarthen, please come and see me. I will be there from 11am to 3 pm.

On Sunday I will be entertaining at the Band Stand on the Prom in Brecon during the Jazz Festival. I am going to be doing a mixture of things including Punch and Judy show, magic, stories and balloon modelling. I start with the first show at 11.30 am, then 12.30, 2 pm and 3 pm. I hope the weather is kind.

I've just come he from the delightful Bute Cottage Nursery in Penarth. The staff are always welcoming there and the children - aged 3 and 4 - are very appreciative and laugh a lot. I did 2 end-of-term shows
