Simply Bows and Chair Covers is a multi award winning venue styling company. We hire and professionally fit, luxury chair décor, table linen, chair covers and chairs for your wedding or event. We franchised our business in 2010 to facilitate our growth and now boast 10 fabulous offices across the UK, each headed by one of our Event Professionals. We are looking to expand our business further and offer applications to come forward for our UK Franchise Opportunity.

⭐️When did you tie the knot and where at?⭐️

4th November 2023, New House Country Hotel

⭐️Why did you choose your venue? What made it the right place for your big day?⭐️

It was close to home, stunning views, gorgeous views and beautiful a marquee!

⭐️What were the three biggest factors for you when deciding where to hold your wedding?⭐️

As we’re foodies, that was top of the list. Then budget and capacity. But also suitability to facilitate rain (Thought it might be likely in November!!)

⭐️Could guests stay over at your venue? What accommodation is on offer?⭐️

Yes, our guests had plenty of room to be able to stay and the venue even offered a discount to our wedding guests if they stayed.

⭐️Tell us about your food/ menus/ wine choices⭐️

We were lucky enough to be able to offer our guests a choice of three options for each course. The food was delicious and everyone loved it!

And a hog roast in winter ALWAYS goes down well, especially when it was so well cooked!

⭐️Tell us about your wedding theme/ style/ colour scheme and the inspiration that you took to create the setting for your big day⭐️

We had burgundy, navy and gold. We love rustic and modern looks, but ultimately wanted it to be timeless classic look which suited us both more, with the men in tail suits and bridesmaids in satin dresses. Phantom of the opera was also a big inspiration with the gold candelabra’s.

⭐️Did you use a pintrest board (or similar) at all to help you create your vision?⭐️

YES! Pinterest had loads of good ideas where you think you know what you want and then you get some inspiration – planning was such an exciting time!

⭐️What personal touches did you add to your big day to make it unique to you?⭐️

We made a lot of things ourself, like our stationary and the table placenames. Our placenames were 3D printed formula 1 tracks which we decorated. Everyone got to sit on one of our favourite tracks.

⭐️What was your favourite thing that you bought/ hired/ added to your theming/staging of your wedding that really made a difference?⭐️

As it was bonfire weekend, we really wanted fireworks. We hired nightlife fireworks to do them and they were amazing!! Even the rain stopped for us to have them, and the venue helped us with putting on hot chocolate and mulled wine for our guests – it was something different that I just loved! One of the most special 10 minutes that day watching the fireworks with my new husband 😊

⭐️How did you find Simply Bows and Chair Covers to work with?⭐️

Absolutely amazing – from the first meeting where we were still in the chaotic brainstorming phase, Adele helped us with bringing our vision alive right up to the day of the wedding where everything was set-up perfectly! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Adele to anyone!

⭐️What was your favourite part of planning your wedding?⭐️

Bringing my vision from when I was a little girl to life! 😊 I’ve been through so many weddings for friends and family and all the decisions were ours to make this time! If money was no object, I’d do it all again in a heartbeat!

⭐️Have you had a honeymoon? If so, where did you head off to?⭐️

We went to Jamaica 2 days after our wedding – it was unbelievable!

If you could do it all again, would you do anything differently?

The only thing we regret is not having our little dog Gracie in the wedding – but we were aware that muddy paws in November and white dresses don’t get on well!

⭐️When did you tie the knot and where at?⭐️

11th June 2022 at Silverwood Lodges, Errol

⭐️Why did you choose your venue? What made it the right place for your big day?⭐️

It’s was unique as it allowed us to have the classic barn feel for the day and the owners allowed us to bring in our own caterers. We also had the lodges for 2 nights to allow us to add that extra day to the celebration with close friends and family.

⭐️What were the three biggest factors for you when deciding where to hold your wedding? ⭐️

Yes, there was multiple lodges available

⭐️Tell us about your food/ menus/ wine choices⭐️

We had a smokey bbq style meal to allow our guests options and to try and keep the mood relaxed

⭐️Tell us about your wedding theme/ style/ colour scheme and the inspiration that you took to create the setting for your big day⭐️

We decided on a classic barn style wedding and picked our decor to match this. I wanted a more relaxed feel to the day and felt this style suited this. We had a rustic theme with simple flowers throughout the venue to also provide a classic look.

⭐️Did you use a pintrest board (or similar) at all to help you create your vision?⭐️

Yes I searched pintrest for years to get different ideas as I also completed a lot of the decor myself.

⭐️What suppliers did you hire to help you create your perfect wedding and what did they each provide?⭐️

Simply Bows and Chair Covers Dundee provided the chair decor which was beautiful, I spent time discussing my ideas with them so we both understood the theme and the look I wanted

Prep and party provided a gorgeous flowe arch as a backdrop for pictures and again the theme was discussed before hand and this fitted in beautiful with the decor.

Lyndsay Phillip Photography came and joined us fir the day capturing all the important moments, she also provided a self mirror at night which was great fun and allowed us to save some funny pictures from the day.

Sorted were the band we had for the party at night, they were great as we had meetings in the run up to the day to discuss the timings and type of music we liked to ensure that there was something for everyone.

⭐️What personal touches did you add to your big day to make it unique to you?⭐️

I did a lot of the decor myself to save on costs however one of my favourite features was the memory table, both Scott and I have lost some important people to us throughout the years so have a memory table filled with pictures of those who have passed just allowed us to have them with us on our day.

⭐️What was your favourite thing that you bought/ hired/ added to your theming/staging of your wedding that really made a difference?⭐️

Once the wedding was complete we hired a silent disco for those staying with us at the Lodges on site and this was great fun allowing am extra few hours of fun with our guests.

⭐️How did you find Simply Bows and Chair Covers to work with?⭐️

Vicki and Susie were great, always answered any questions I had and provided lots of options and suggestions to help me find the perfect look to fit in with my theme.

⭐️What was your favourite part of planning your wedding?⭐️

It’s to hard to pick one moment as throughout the day there were so many different moments I loved however one point at night when everyone was up on the dance floor I remember thinking it was amazing just to be spending the day with all my nearest and dearest.

⭐️Have you had a honeymoon? If so, where did you head off to?⭐️

Yes we went to koi samui in Thailand for 10 days and it was perfect.

⭐️If you could do it all again, would you do anything differently?⭐️

Not stress as much as everything falls into place on the day!
