It's time to introduce another of the night's fantastic acts, Pete Murphy 'The Pirate King':

For 15 years, Pete Murphy had been body-slamming opponents and captivating arenas as Wrestling Hall of Famer Conscience, but now he’s taken his talents from the squared circle to the spotlight. With a mic in hand, he's ready to deliver knockout jokes and handle hecklers with the same finesse he used to handle steel chairs. Let's say he's no stranger to a live audience—whether they're booing or laughing, he knows how to keep the show rolling.
These days, Pete Murphy is making waves in the comedy circuit with a treasure chest full of 10 and 15-minute spots and a few hosting gigs that have audiences rolling in the aisles. And as for open mic nights? He’s lost track—there’s probably a map somewhere, but it’s buried under an X on the comedy map.

The hilarious Rowan Hackett

Rowan Hackett is a stand-up comedian from Glasgow with the warmth and stage presence of a far more seasoned performer. When she's not on stage doing comedy gigs, she's often playing drums for one of her many bands or DJing. With material ranging from the joys of old age to the logistics of s*x toy ownership, Rowan is one to watch

Introducing another of our fantastic acts for the evening, the wonderul Alan Ritchie:

Alan only started stand up this year but has been gigging all around Scotland since. He’s performed at The Stand, Monkey Barrell amongst a host of the UK’s other comedy clubs. Come hear him talk about his family’s battles with modern technology and social media as well his own struggles with being an uncle!

We're sure you'll love Alan as much as we do and we're delighted to have him on Friday 28th February.

Introducing your Opening Act for CRAIC@Owen's FEBRUARY25...

“Jack Brookmyre first performed in 2022 and has been performing regularly since February 2023. Based in Glasgow, Jack is known for his impeccable accents and impressions, as well as his blend of absurd and observational comedy. Jack quickly made an impression on the Glasgow circuit, winning the 2022 GICF Student Comedy Award. Since then, he has made multiple appearances at The Stand in Glasgow and Edinburgh, performed with Des Mclean and Friends Comedy and beaten the Merchant City Gong twice. At the 2024 Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Jack appeared on The Best of Fresh Comedy at Blackfriars, performed a sketch he wrote with The Humour Mill and competed in the first heat of So You Think You’re Funny. He was also shortlisted for the 2024 BBC New Comedy Awards. From Gollum to David Attenborough, his mimickery knows no bounds as his quick wit flows from town planning to presidential karaoke, in a performance that seeks to document what overexposure to undergraduate philosophy and Death Metal does to the human brain.”

Introducing your fantastic MC for CRAIC@Owen's on Friday 28th February;

Viv Gee was a finalist in So You Think You're Funny and the BBC Open Mic Awards and since then has performed comedy from L.A. to Bangkok. She has also compered various festivals including T In the Park and Glasgow's New Year celebrations.
TV and Radio appearances include Lorraine Kelly's Make Me Happier STV and BBC's Stake Out, Hedz, River City, Revolver, the Comedy Underground and The Gates.
In 2014 she was the recipient of the Award For Outstanding Contribution To Comedy at the inaugural Scottish Comedy Awards.

We are 10 weeks away from !
Our fantastic Headliner is none other than Gary Little!

Gary is one of the most consistent and funny acts in Scottish Comedy. He is recognised as a master storyteller, and is a regular headliner at many of the top comedy clubs in the UK. Despite his imposing physical presence, Gary has an incredibly personable, relatable style. Combine that with his unflinching honesty, openness and warmth and audiences everywhere have loved him. He has a rare gift of being able to turn mundane, everyday experiences into pure comedy gold.

It's 11 weeks to the day when CRAIC@Owen's begins! With that in mind, let's tell you a little about the fantastic venue!

Passed down through generations, Owens is a family run bar with a legacy of over 50 years. Where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner seven days a week and choose from various menus of delicious home-made food, including our authentic Neapolitan wood fired pizzas.

Owens is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy delicious food and drinks with friends and family. Offering a wide range of promotions that are sure to please everyone. The many screens display local and international sports to keep you entertained. The function rooms are perfect for any occasion, especially, but certainly not limited to, great comedy nights!

Tickets for Craic@Owens are available from the venue. It's a great opportunity to check out the fantastic venue if you've never had the pleasure. The events will take place in the upstairs Function Room (which, due to stair access, is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible)
