It was an honour to lay this wreath on behalf of a family member of the deceased soldier at Aldershot Military Cemetery. She was unable to lay it herself. It was a beautiful autumnal morning with bagpipes and reveille playing to ring in the 2 minutes silence.

Making a funeral posy. I'm loving the design. It will be made personal by a stem from a orchid. The orchid was given by the family member who passed 10 years ago.
To make an orchid last that long is impressive but also such a lovely tribute to personalize the design.

Here are some Xmas door wreath some of my customers made last year from the DIY kits. All the kits had the same materials but all look completely different.

The beauty of it is you put in your personal flair.
Some people like to add additional adornments like bows, chillis, eucalyptus

Loved creating this bouquet for a beautiful autumnal wedding. The colour scheme was burgundy, navy and autumnal orange and yellows.

The bouquet was made up from a mix of fresh flowers and sola wood flowers hand painted to create the desired navy colour.
I loved creating something so bespoke with the bride.

I was asked to create a lettered tribute for a customers grandfather who had passed away. I love doing funeral designs. It’s a lovely final tribute to loved one.

It includes white chrysanthemum, white roses, eryngium, leather leaf And pittosporum.

Subscription flowers this week I chose spring blooms tulips, anemones, craspedia and freesia. The salal tips are used as a backdrop to make the vibrant colours pop.

I was reading a article the other day about how increased energy prices are affecting the costs per stem of flowers. It seems this is happening everywhere but the focus on the article was on roses for Valentine’s Day. ❤︎
The cost of flowers and especially on roses this time of year always get hiked up

It got me wondering what alternatives people would like to see in bouquets from loved ones this season.

Would you like to be gifted flowers you had at your wedding? Or is it the colours contrast you are more interested in then the type of flower?

Red roses are the traditional flower to receive, do you need a whole bouquet of them or is being gifted a single stem enough of a romantic gesture?

Well its the start of another exciting year here at Scentsations Floristry . I was thrilled with my business in 2021 and would sincerely like to thank all of you who supported my business. As you know I also had my baby girl Violet in October. I can’t Thankyou enough for your support, patience, gifts and messages whilst I navigated the business at such a busy time.

I am resuming work this week and will be stocked up with fabulous flowers for subscriptions from Friday and a few projects I have up my sleeve. Watch this space.

2021 had its ups and downs. I had a successful and very busy valentines and Mother’s Day at the start of the year and able to grow my subscription offerings. It has been a struggle to successfully run workshops which is where my passion lies though.
This is one of my goals for this year to run more workshops. We had a successful few flower crown workshops in the summer which were so much fun to do.
I hope to be able to offer more this year in varied areas including seasonal workshops, Floristry techniques and flower crowns. I’ll keep you posted when they will be available
